PHILOSOPHY OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE 2
What I believe
Children and educational program
I believe that children learn better through
play.
I believe in participation, observation and
manipulation of things in order to gain an
understanding of some things well.
Practices which will support this belief
As an educator, I will offer chances for the
children to make discoveries, develop,
explore, create and imagine. I will ensure
that children are involved in all kinds of
play such solitary, supervised play in
which I will be part of their play to teach
them more through play. Also, depending
on the child age, I will be in a position to
organize them appropriately to minimize
injuries and frustrations that can result in
case a child is unable to participate as they
could wish to. Similarly, a variety of
playing materials should be provided by
schools for children to manipulate and
learn through them efficiently (McClain,
2015).
Therefore, I will allow children to
participate in activities that are age
appropriate in order to learn better. For
instance, children can be involved in
activities such as watering of flowers or
plants around the school compound or the
ones planted in one of the classroom
corners for them to get more exposed.
What is observed and done by a child has

I believe that each child is different from
the other in terms of intelligence and
creativity.
I believe that children acquire several vital
skills as they interact with others like

the probability of getting retained as
compared to the things taught verbally by
the teacher. In addition, children will be
allowed to ask questions they have during
these particular moments, because I will be
supervising them accordingly to make sure
they are satisfied in every manner and also
to prevent them from seeing things
activities as punishment to them (Joseph,
Craig, & Caldwell, 2015).
I will hence deal with each child in a
special and personal manner without
generalization. I will ensure that I have
time for face to face interaction for each
kind to eliminate any fear that they might
have even towards me as a teacher.
Some of the practices that support this
belief include children to feel keen about
learning, to be attentive, inquiring, and
cheerful as they learn, and to be intensely
involved in fresh and puzzling experiences
(Robins, Dautenhahn, & Dubowski, 2006).
I trust that kids learn through hands-on
play practices and prosper passionately,
socially, physically, and cognitively when
they are vigorously affianced in the

I believe that children motivation to learn
is triggered more by the love they get from
the educational environment.
I believe that children learn at their own
when giving an opportunity to interact
with the environment on their own without
supervision.
It is true that children’s early years are
entirely about learning of new things in
every environment from home to school
since all things are new to them and they
get to know them fay by day through the
encounter.
Am inspired by the children’s curiosity
since this is what makes them gain
knowledge of things they do not know
environment and interacting with each
other.
As an educator, I will show love to all
children to ensure that they feel
comfortable and get more interested in
studying. A nurturing teacher makes
children desire to stay around him or her.
I will ensure that I organize things that
makes the learning to the children
attractive and tends to thirst more and more
for education. Providing a variety of
playing equipment such as a merry-go-
round, balls, seesaw, swing set, spring
rider, trapeze rings, mazes, sandbox, slide,
jungle, chin-up bars, and many others. All
these assists children to advance physical
coordination, power and tractability as well
as providing refreshment and pleasure and
backup social and emotional improvement
(Alismail & McGuire, 2015).
Have a passion for teaching and interacting
with children, so I will ensure that they get
answered their questions and supervise
them accordingly.

FAMILIES AS A STAKEHOLDER.
I believe that learning has a social
determination and is reinforced by societal
and responsive capabilities and optimistic,
cultivation relationships with peers and
grown-ups among the families.
I believe that children background and
families contribute a lot regarding
behavior and learning capabilities.
I believe in a meaningful relationships
with families and teachers because they
must work together in the assessment of
Stations that have things that children can
observe and satisfy their curiosity through
exploring should be visited. The curiosity
of children can be satisfied by an educator
who is very concerned and loves handling
the children.
PRACTICES
Therefore, families need to be aware of the
requirement of every child and monitor
well their interest in playing. Since each
child is unique in one way or another they
display a distinct mode of learning and
style of handling things in the environment
they are living (Karst & van Hecke, 2012).
Organizing of several meetings with the
parents and explaining to them as a teacher
on what children require in order to grow
well academically as well as general good
life behaviour can be of great impact.

the children to obtain a complete, precise
and socially sensitive understanding of
growth and to make meaningful use of
valuation records in planning and realizing
curriculum.
I believe that children backgrounds are
different and therefore some children get
exposed to different things in families
depending on how financially stable the
family is.
Am inspired by the saying that goes
‘Charity begins at home” the home environment
shapes the child personality to an extent even in
adult age and influences the learning interests and
capabilities.
TEAM MEMBERS
I believe that excellent work can be done
through collaboration, open
communication and mutual respect among
the educator's team which leads to better
Ensuring that good relationship exist
between me and the parent of the children I
am dealing with can lead to great success
when it comes to overall performance of
the children (Loes & Pascarella, 2015).
I will ensure that I understand all the kinds
of background the children comes from
and try by all means to make them
comfortable to learn by organizing fund
collection projects so that we can purchase
things that are essential for all of them to
study.
Conferences and seminars to educate

children up with good morals will be

them on the best strategies to use.

quality of education in early childhood.
I value team members as the most talented
individuals and can offer a quality skill to
the children depending on their area of
strengths.
I believe that the highest possible quality
early-childhood education can be achieved
if only a safe working environment for the
team members is availed.
I believe in quality education attainment if
all the team members are fully dedicated
professionals in the field of early
childhood education through play.
I believe in the best quality of education in
early childhood if all teaching staff show a
good value to the young children in
making learning more interesting through
good interaction.
The team can organize several conferences
to discuss about the issues that need
improvement as well as new things
emerging in the early childhood education.
Changes to be made a good schedule that
can result to national quality services in
early childhood education (Cardon &
Marshall, 2015).
Since most of the time children are with
their educators, good strategies can be
devised in order to ensure that necessary
skills and knowledge based on care
providence to children is achieved.
A conducive environment can be
established to make sure that every team
member is fully satisfied and comfortable
to deliver services efficiently.
A good vision and mission for the work of
the team should be established so that it
can act as a guide on what all the team
members are striving to achieve
specifically as they do their duties
I will ensure that all issues that can make
the team members not to have corporation

I believe providing competitive wages to
the team so as each of them will strive to
achieve the target in order to get the
highest salary by ensuring that the young
children are getting a quality education.
COMMUNITY.
I believe in cultural differences and
children comes from different
communities with their own cultural
practices and taboos.
I believe that children fill more
appreciated when given opportunities to
tell stories based on their cultural beliefs
and practices.
I consider community-based activities as
part of learning to the children especially
in social studies subject.
I believe that teachers better understanding
of children communities can help in

are handled and solution found as early as
possible.
Good wages act as a motivation to all
workers and therefore, people concerned
can be consulted to raise the income of the
team for them to be comfortable and
concentrate at work (Hoff & Scott, 2017).
PRACTICES
Respect for every child culture can be
embraced so that each one of the fill free to
be in the learning environment as well as
eliminating frustrations that comes when
one is embarrassed (Mackay, 2016).
I will incorporate in the program the time
when children can have an open forum to
discuss their differences in culture through
my supervision and in a positive manner.
I will ensure that children get engaged in
activities that helps them to learn more
about environment and social things at
large.

I value community as a vital setting where
children get exposed to different
experiences vital to their life because of
some acts as a way of correcting and
teaching them more on what is good or
right.
Since understanding of community is the
key step towards living peacefully with
others and children as well because they
come from those communities, I will
ensure that I get to know all that pertains
different communities (Wellman, 2018).
Community surrounding the children
should be made conducive through careful
monitoring and concerned about the
wellbeing of the children.
