Discussion
Health and safety training for the learners is the process of benefitting the employees
so that they can recognize the hazards along with approving healthy and safe working
practices. In this process, the employees get benefitted by avoiding the pain, anguish and
financial costs, which has been caused by health-related issues (Ricci et al. 2016). It will
enable the employees to acquire their legal duties in order to protect the safety and health of
the employees along with other people as well. According to Work Act 1974, the approach of
health and safety is essentially required to the employees in order to acquire free training,
instructions, along with required supervision for all the employees (NS 2014). In the United
Kingdom, the employees who can control the premises, need to consider the safety measures
for everyone including customers and contractors. The main purpose of the training of health
and safety is providing relevant as well as precise information regarding health and safety and
training helps to reduce the chances of suffering from severe injuries along with ill-health
(Holt and Allen 2015). Therefore, it benefits the employees to attain the desired skills,
attitude and knowledge to prepare them in a competent way. The working aspects of health
and safety training will help to introduce a positive culture along with a healthy environment.
There are eight responsibilities that will ensure the essential aspects of health and
safety training for the learners such as:
a. Roles and Responsibilities: The main role under health and safety
training is to prevent various accidents, severe injuries along with illness regarding
work at their respective workplaces. The role-play is quite significant to produce as
well as practicing the policies of health and safety training (Holt and Allen 2015). The
policies are related to all the current legislation in order to ensure that all the policies
are practiced adequately by the employees along with the facilities of management.
