Question 1
The four models of intelligence are ability model, mixed model, trait model and self-
regulation model. Ability model aimed at understanding the emotional state of the
individuals. Mixed model aims at the recognizing the factors that motivate the individuals
primarily. Trait model shows the understanding of human perceptions. Self-regulation model
aims to understand what regulates the behavior of the humans.
Question 2
MSCEIT is a test conducted by the psychologists to assess the intelligence ability of the
individuals. It was developed by Mayer and Salovey to include the emerging trends of
scientific studies to assess the intelligence (Kong 2014). There are 141 items that are included
in the process of conducting the tests that takes a maximum of 45 minutes for completion.
Question 3
There are five main tools that are used to assess the emotional intelligence. It was formulated
by Daniel Goleman. The criterion used for assessing and scoring emotional intelligence are
self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills. Five scales of
emotional intelligence assessment are interpersonal skills, intrapersonal skills, stress
management skills, adaptability skills and general mood of the individuals. These skills help
to enhance the abilities of the individuals.
Question 4
The ability of an individual to keep in consideration to his own self-respect and interests is
known as self-regard. It is an important aspect to keep in consideration while the individuals
perform an activity. The individuals should care for their personal interests as they are the
main components in the functioning of an individual. It can be analyzed with an example, the

individuals working in a company with efficiency when their personal interests are fulfilled
by the company. This shows that the promotion of self-regard leads to efficiency of work.
Question 5
Empathy is a useful technique to adapt oneself in accordance with the understanding the
feelings of another individual. There are many techniques to that are used to build empathy in
the individuals. They are individuals should take challenge themselves by embracing new
challenges. People should get out of their comfort zone and test their abilities in the new
sphere. There should be a sense of curiosity in the individual mind that will help them to
explore new ideas. As curiosity is the technique that leads to the betterment of the
individuals. Three examples of empathy are when an individual shares his painful
experiences with others in order to decrease his emotional burden. Showing gratitude when
they are appreciated and encouraging the individuals to perform well.
Question 6
Confidentiality is an important aspect in any sphere that concerns the human beings. When
contacting and communicating with a first time client it is important that confidentiality in the
process. The exchange of information that occurs between both the parties should stay
between themselves. No information should be disclosed in front of any third party. The
information should be discussed only between the two concerned parties. The information
should be kept secured in the database. It will help in the building trust between the parties
which will help in securing the information.
Question 7
Training and development is the most common factor in building the emotional intelligence
consortium. Counselling and psychotherapy are another technique that is used by the
