INTRODUCTION Employability skills can be defined as abilities which help in developing expertise level, knowledge base and mentality that is very much important for organisational success. These skills are considered as mandatory qualifications to engage in job positions. So it can be said that for employment success every individual have to gain employability skills. In other words, to grow and develop professional life every employer or employee has enhanced their skills which can lead them to higher level of success. If enterprise have high talented human resource than it can compete in market place and also can enhance its financial profit. This project report is based on Travelodge which is one of the leading travel agency (Wilton, 2011). In this project, set of self-responsibilitiesandperformanceobjectiveshavebeendiscussedtodevelopworking conditions. Also, development of interpersonal and transferable skills has been evaluated. At last, this project is having dynamics of working with other and strategies to solve work related problems. These are the core concepts through which travel company can improve and develop employability skills within workplace. TASK1 1.1 Set of own responsibilities and performance objectives It is very much important for business manager to understand his responsibilities and objectives so that he can accomplish organisational goals and objectives in an effective manner. As being a leader of Travelodge, it is very much essential for me to determine my duties and responsibilities in organisation, so that I can work according to them. The main roles of mine are following as under: Collect market information:This is the most important role of mine. For better growth of business it is very much essential to collect important information about marketplace. Through this I can understand different rends of market and can organisational strategies according to them (Katzenbach and Smith, 2015). Work ethically:Being a business manager of Travelodge it is responsibility of mine to work in ethical manner, so that company can reach to higher level of success. Decision making:Organisational success or failure totally depends on that how much effective its strategies are. So it is essential role of mine to make efficient and systematic decisions so that company can get higher financial profit. 1
Create good relations:For better growth of company it is necessary to have healthy working environment within workplace. Through effective communication with seniors and juniors I can make good working conditions (Drucker, 2013). Hence, these are my own responsibilities which are required to accomplish organisational goals. Paired comparison:Through comparing myself with other I can evaluate my position and performance which can help me in performance improvement. Some of my personal responsibilities areteam work and time management. Along with this I have to improve my communication and problem solving skills. To manage a organization I need to be very much cooperative and interactive with other staff members of company. To attain these skills I have to set some objectives which are follows as under: ObjectivesTime period First of all I have to learn time management so that I can increase my productivity. For learning time management skills I need 2 to 3 weeks. Problem solving is another important skills by whichIcanreducechancesofindustrial disputes. By improving my communication skills I can interact and cooperate with other employees. If they will be not accomplish then I can suffer from many problems. So, I have to determine effectiveness of my objectives which can be done by evaluating their time period which I have set. It is duty of mine to assign responsibilities to employees according to policies and plans of Travelodge. Maintenance safety of society:It should be the main purpose of every company. Being a business manager it is necessary for me to manage safety of society. Managing changes:Modifications are integral part of business environment so it is my main duty to work according those changes otherwise I cannot achieve organisational goals and objectives. To resolve this work related problem its team leader should find out the reason behind owner's misbehaviour. Board of director misbehave with their employees because there did not trust them. In this situation, leader should make good relations between them and create good working environment. So that, employees and managers will work together and take right decisions. 2.2 Communication styles and appropriate manner at different levels Every organisation use different style of communication. Travelodge is a big travel company so it has huge organisational structure which support it’s in good or bad situations. Management of organisation can be categorised in three main parts which are top, medium and lower. Every level needs effective communication style to transfer important information within work place. Through this appropriate manner business managers can lead company at higher level of success.
