INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills can be defined as the skills required by an individual to perform theirroles and responsibilities in systematic manner at workplace. It is the skills which are required tobe developed by an individual in order to explore as well as capture employment opportunities.Employability skills can also be referred to as set of an essential skill which includesdevelopment of knowledge base, mind-set and expertise which is very much crucial in order toachieve success in career. The tops employability skills which are need to be developed by anindividual in order to get job these are communication, planning, time management, teamworkand also professional qualifications. In addition to this, soft skills are also very much essential inorder to get success at workplace. It is the employability skill set which enable an individual toget higher position within an organisation. Self-management is considered to be as an essentialfactor which assist an individual in development of employability skills.The report will have focus on identification of an individual roles as well asresponsibilities and performance objectives in Context of Travelodge hotel. It is basically aprivate limited company operating business in hospitality sector. Study will emphasize onanalysing the team dynamics. TASK 11.1 Own roles and responsibilities in Hotel. As a manager in Travelodge hotel , I am responsible for recording of businesstransactions for hotel and also administrating accounting department . In addition to this, I amalso responsible for budgeting as well as financial management. MY role in Travelodge is toplan, direct and organise all accounting activities. I am responsible for preparing the daily workschedule for employees in accounting department (Jackson and Oliver, 2018.). My role is to dealinvestment activities, and develop plans and strategies for the long-term financial goals oforganization. In addition to this, my duty is to make sure that auditing of financial records aredone on time. I am also responsible for making sure that all the laws and accounting standardsor regulations are being followed. I am also responsible for taking investment and other financialdecisions for an enterprise.My performance objective in context of manager in Travelodge hotel is to help anorganisation in improving financial performance within six months.

In context of training and development, it is the responsibility of manager to identify theneed of training by workers. In addition to this, manager in Travelogue is also responsible forproviding an appropriate training to employees. It is the responsibility of manager to ensure thatall workers in an organisation remain competent as well as skilled for their jobs. Manager is alsoresponsible for management of all those department that have duty to provide training toworkers.My performance objective is to train all the employees and to improve pergormancestandards. The other performance objective is to help an organisation in increasing workingefficiency as well as productivity.1.2 Determining own effectiveness against defined objectives It is very much important in order to evaluate own effectiveness. Self -assessment orevaluation assists an individual in identifying the skills which they are required to developed inorder to accomplish defined objectives (Sotiriadou, Daly and Guest, 2019.). As my primaryobjectives is to assist Travelodge in improving the financial performance for that I will needfollowing skills that is an effective communication sill, knowledge about financial management,analytical skills, negotiation, presentation skills etc. Swot analysis is considered to be as one of the effective technique which can be utilisedfor analysis own strength and weakness against set objectives. MY strength and weaknessagainst set objectives are :Strengths:Good analytical approach.Excellent written communication skills. Strong understanding of applicable accountingregulations. Weakness:Lack of commercial and business awareness. Lack of an effective oral communication skills.I need to improve technical as well aspresentation skills.Opportunities:Threats:

To foster my career growth in accounting orfinancial management field. Increase in competition.Accounting errors The development of commercial awareness is crucial as it will assist me in making mysignificant contribution in achievement of business goals. It will help me in increasing myparticipation in business activities. Oral communication skills will help in strengthening myrelationship with other people at workplace. Technical skills is important as it will assist me inincreasing my working efficiency as well as productivity.1.3 Recommendation for improvement Continuous development is very much important in order to develop required skills aswell as core competencies.
