INTRODUCTION
The English for academic study cover full range of skills and titles in which included
listening, reading & writing, speaking & pronunciation, and vocabulary. This report is based on
academic study in which considered “I have dream” and “Equality & diversity policy” of the
British Library. It will define critical reading by undertaking key facts and main arguments. It
will analyse different uses of English language (Murray and Nallaya, 2016). There will be
produced a short report and formal e-mail as well. It also review and revise the produced work
for the purpose of accuracy.

1.1 Critical reading

“I have a Dream” is a speech given by Martin Luther King Junior who is American civil
rights activists. The speech defining the moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. There
are various facts are described as under:
 This speech was processing the moment of American Civil Rights Movement and deliver
the steps of Lincoin Memorial where 2,50,000 civil rights supporters are present.
 In 20th century, the magic and mastery famous speech has take position in its top honours
in the new list of 100 best political speeches (Mazgutova and Kormos, 2015).
 “I have a Dream” speech is public speech which was delivered in the year of 1963 on 28th
August by Martin Luther King Junior.
The British Library is committed for promoting equality and diversity for encouraging
people towards culture which actively value differences and identify about various people
background and experiences. Such facts are described as under:
 The British library specify to measure that place which provide equality of opportunities
and services which can deliver its various manpower and job applicants.

“I have a Dream” is the speech given in front of huge public by Martin Luther King
regarding the argument of racism where motivate people to stop favouritism (Charles and
Pecorari, 2015). Martin encourage people towards achieving his dream and freedom from
eliminating racism activities. Along with this, he was argue about rights of country people which
motivate them to flight against them. In the current time period, Martin stood in St. Paul's
Cathedral London with large number of audience for encouraging white and black Britons for
assist in gaining equality.
Another is British Library which main argument is based on stop discrimination. They
need to stop discrimination among people which are arise in the country. In this, library major
aim is to pro actively handle and manage all discriminating and main aim is to make sure that
there is no team or group who are directly discriminate against any reason with regarding to
employment their services (AlHassan and Wood, 2015). This library argue about discrimination
which enhancing among people on daily basis and try to overcome with this issue.
Evidence of bias:
“I have a Dream” is the public speech which has been presented by Martin Luther King
and he is building his speech on the evidence of Emancipation Proclamation that is free from
millions of slaves in the year of 1863. The bias arise when dream of racial appeasement and
peace has an unequal appeal to the British people who are agitated by race violence in the current
years.
On the other hand, Equality and Diversity policy in the British Library can demonstrate
the discrimination which arises among people due to lack of equality (Hawkins, 2015). There are
various evidence of bias or issues regarding molestation, bullying and discrimination policy.

'I have dream'
In this theme, Martin Luther King Junior gave a public speech on August 28th , 1963
which is based on end of racism in the United States of America. The English language which he
used for particular speech, was motivational that support to remove such kinds of racism and
provide equality to every and each individual at any places. The speech had defined civil rights
movement of American and delivered during march at Lincoln Memorial on Washington to over

250,000 civil rights supporters. His speech was motivational for every individual who was facing
racism kinds of things and discrimination in their life.
'The British Library'
The British library is generally promoting equality and diversity for the purpose of
creating positive culture and effective working environment. Their are considered valuable
culture which support to the workplace and enhance work productivity in accurate manner. The
English language that have used by the British library are elimination of discrimination, equality
and diversity for providing equal opportunities to the employees who come from different
backgrounds within organisation (Olsson and Sylvén, 2015).
2.2 Reviewing and revising for accuracy
As per the academic study, there are two basic themes such as I have dream and British
library in which considered some facts and findings for getting knowledge. There are produced
work regarding documents in which undertake short report, e-mail and summary as well. In the 'I
have dream', Martin Luther provided various inspirational and motivational information that was
beneficial for people who suffered in racism. He speech on Emancipation proclamation freed
millions of slaves in the year of 1863. King's Speech greatly impacted on public debate so it can
be analysed that his speech was superb that supported in removing racisms. On the other side,
The British Library described the equality and diversity, how it beneficial in eliminating
discrimination with appropriate manner. In this covered Equality Act 2010 that associated with
equality within workplace. It considered several things like Age, Disability, Gender project,
pregnancy and civil partnership, race such as colour, nationality and ethics origins etc.
Therefore, there are some major mistakes founded regarding work which included
spelling, grammar and punctuation. It has been founded in reviewing of project as how some
silly mistakes done during work (Olsson and Sylvén, 2015). There were required rectification as
well as proof read on whatever written in document so that proper changes can be made. Here
addressed various mistakes regarding sentences and grammatical error as per requirements.
2.3 Referencing different types of resources:
There are used various kinds of resources and references for the purpose of getting
appropriate information and make project more efficient. In this used different articles of various
authors and considered some authentic sources related to internet for the purpose of academic
study as well. For appropriate study, there is required adequate academic learning by considering

reading, planning, writing, critical thinking and exams and dissertations so that individual can
acquire better knowledge and learning as well. Different authors gave their view points regarding
academic study and described that how individual can use English language for proper study and
project. In this used internet source for getting accurate data, official websites, academic sources,
articles, magazines, newspapers and many others sources that supported to me in professionally.
For this document, appropriate structure and layout has been undertaken that supported in
making clearly as well as professionally study with correct English language as well (Mazgutova
and Kormos, 2015). Books are best and most important source which are available at library and
beneficial in getting adequate knowledge or information about the particular study or projects.
Students can consider books which are suitable in their project study and help to do work in easy
manner.

3.1 Review of writing skills and improvement
As per the submission of particular project, my tutor checked my work and suggest
various criteria that must be implemented for appropriate course. I have analysed that there are

some major points which required effective improvements. Tutor reviewed my entire
performances and checked my writing skills that was nice. They founded some basic areas where
I need to improve including sentences errors, grammatical mistakes, use different
relevant sources and many more for making work more specific and effective as well. Therefore,
I identified various fields and areas which for proper improvements including authenticate
sources, good references and generic books regarding academic study. Tutor gave me
suggestions by giving some options that facilitate in improving my writing skills such as online
dictionary for checking spelling if error occurs, reading more books, newspapers and other
magazines so that I can improve my vocabulary skills and find new words in an appropriate
manner. This will also support in improving technical languages so that I can write in more
scientific and qualitative manner. Tutor gave me grade as 7 out of 10 due to some grammatical
errors and other sentences mistakes as well.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report, it can be concluded that “I have a Dream” is a speech
given by Martin Luther King Junior who is American civil rights activists. The British Library is
committed for promoting equality and diversity for encouraging people towards culture which
