Answer: CST is well positioned for the future by attracting and retaining
the best talent possible as it earlier it was doing really great and it knows
the reasons for losing the three major tenders. It is a big multinational
communication and software company and have offices in different
locations like New Zealand, South Korea, India and United States. As per
the case study, there were different kinds of issues that resulted in low
retention rate of employees and it has impacted in a very negative way
(Aburub, 2019). It has been completely noticeable that resignation of
employees has came due to many reasons and the same has impacted
the company and its reputation in a negative way. There were many
issues related to the technological advancements that was not correct in
nature. The only problem in CST’s is the management of human resources
and policies of the organization. Firstly, the resignations were the major
issue that clearly reflects that employees were not satisfied in the
organization and not willing to do task in an effective manner. There was a
limited scope for employees to work in an effective way (Armstrong &
Landers, 2018).
Secondly, the continuous decline in retention rate was an important
concern of CST and this is a reason there was lack of skilled employees in
the organization. So overall there are important mishaps by the
management that resulted in problems faced by the employees. This has
impacted the morale of the employees (Reed, 2014). Lastly, there was
issue in the area of technological advancement as it was not planned and
the same has created a gap. All this resulted in making the business
inefficient and non-competitive. Human resources are key resource of
business and only their efficiency and effectiveness can help the business
to grow and to achieve the future targets and objectives. If all these
issues related to attraction and retention of human resources can be

resolved by CST, then it can be a good place to work and it can be well
positioned for the future too (Collins, 2020).
Recommendations:
The important methodology of proposing an answer incorporates
understanding the purpose behind the issue and subsequently ambush
the issue with techniques. By virtue of the development part, there is a
data that layout a couple of reasons behind, IT staff change business.
Some central parts are: employees are not secured just because of unfair
treatment as well as low payment (Hook & Jenkins, 2019). The best
strategy to screen the assessment of comfort among the employees is by
doing consistent investigations or ends get-togethers. After getting the
combination of this data, there will be month to month social events were
the results must be discussed. In the given case study, the major concern
was to hire and attract good human resource. Below are the ways by
which CST can manage its human resource in an effective manner by
attracting and retaining employees:
1. Fair Pay- It is important for an organization to pay a fair
compensation to its employees. They understand that all jobs are
not equal but at the same time they expect that they must paid well
in return of the efforts they make for the success of the organization
(Constance, 2012).
2. Recognition- Every person works for money and this is one of the
most important factors, but they play a very important role in the
success of the company. They want their efforts to be recognised
and they can feel motivate. It is a very small thing for leaders to
take a minute and acknowledge the efforts of an employee. It is
important to give credit to the employees who deserve it.
3. Create a team based high performance culture - Employees need to
be happy and have peace of mind when they come to the
workplace. Organizational culture plays an important role in
employee’s performance. It should consist of supportive supervisors,
stress free and flexible so that employees feel happy when they
