INTRODUCTION
Equality and diversity safeguards the human rights of all members that are working in the
organisation. This report includes meaning of equality and diversity. Benefits of promoting these
both will be analysed. Legislations, employment regulations and codes of practice relevant to the
promotion of equality and diversity are defined (Thompson, 2015). These promotions help to
protect from harm. There are many communication strategies which are used to promote equality
and diversity. Many agencies also promotes them. There are many areas which can be developed
to promote equality and diversity.

that there are various elements which are included in equality and diversity. I found that it
increased my knowledge and skill. I interacted with many persons and understood that there are
many ways by which learners can be protected from any type of harm. I also learned that it is
necessary to make positive environment at the school to keep the learners safe.
Methods for protecting learners from any type of risk and valuing them.
There are various steps which can be taken for giving importance to learners. Those steps
are as follows:
 Enhancing the information among the learners of the school about their safety from any
harm.
 Making that environment which will increase the equality between the learners. This can
be monitored by seeing the behaviour of individuals with others.

 Holding the programmers for making the learners aware about their human rights related
with the equality.
 Making the cited topic part of the syllabus for learners. It will make them learn about
various human rights.
2.2 Actions and strategies for achieving the goal of promoting equality and diversity.
 Making rules- Rules are made for the people working in educational institute. It will set
the guidelines for better treatment of all the learners. This will increase the value of
individual learners.
 Equal treatment- All the members and learners are treated equally. There should be no
discrimination between them.
 Lesson- Lessons which will promote equality and diversity will be taught to all the
learners (Kirton and Greene, 2015). This will give them information about their rights.
 Communication- Better communication is maintained between teachers and learners.
This will help in giving learners information about equality and diversity. It will also
promote them among the learners.
 Opportunities- All learners will get equal and same opportunities. This will promote
equality and diversity and will help in value and development of learners.

will make the authorities give the correct and exact information to the learners. For making the
good practice, effective communication is needed. This can be oral or written. This practice can

strategies can be direct or indirect (Baker and et.al, 2016). In direct communication learners are
directly told about their rights and in indirect communication they are indirectly told about their
human rights.

They can make many rules that will help in promoting them.

strictly followed (Wrench, 2014). Actions against the person who did some harm should
have been punished by the school authorities.
 The business concern case for diversity and inclusion is the strongest it’s ever been. But
today, we still see ethnic minorities being under delineated at senior levels in
management and at board level in organize, and many social group groups are still
regularly taxable to bias in public presentation and enlisting processes.

Strategies used in promoting equality and diversity have very much impacted the
operations of school. All the information about equality and diversity have been told to the
learners. Learners now know their human rights. Promoting equality and diversity in education is
essential for both teachers and students. The aim is to create a classroom environment where all
students can thrive together and understand that individual characteristics make people unique
and not different in negative way. This had helped in creating safe and enable learning
environment in the school. Learners or students now feel safe and secure in the premises of
schools. Actions are taken against the discrimination process which is followed on the basis of
gender, colour, status or age (Teelken and Deem, 2015). Students learned about legislations

which are made to protect them against any type of discrimination. Learners also have personally
developed by promoting equality and diversity. More specifically, sameness is about ensuring
individuals are treated fairly and equally, no matter their race, gender, age, disability, religion or
sexual orientation. Diverseness is about recognising and regard this deviation to create an all-
inclusive status.
CONCLUSION
This report concludes that there are many benefits of promoting equality and diversity in
the school. Various methods can be used to promote them. Personal development of learners also
increases by promoting equality and diversity. There are professional agencies which can help in
promoting them. Individual actions can also describe the equality and diversity. It helps in
