1.0 Introduction
Brain tumour refers to a health problem in which mass or growth of abnormal cells in the
brain. It includes different types of tumours present in brain including non cancerous (benign),
cancerous (malignant), primary brain tumours and metastatic brain tumours. However, it can be
considered as very complex health problem because it can disrupt functioning of brain and whole
body functions are regulated by mind of an individual (Agran and et. al., 2016). The present
report is based in brain tumour fund raising for support, people suffering from brain tumour and
their families to overcome with the same. This assignment will focus on evaluating the
development of individual skills and demonstrate individual development with evidence. It will
also include individual contribution to overall teal performance and experiences through Gibbs'
model of reflection. The areas need to develop and opportunities of learning by considering key
study & employability skills are given below.
2.0 Audit and evaluation of key skills
2.1 Examine and evaluate the development of individual skills
The campaigning and event organising for fund raising to support patients of brain
tumour is a significant aspect. It is necessary for relevant organisations to utilise effective posters
and banners in terms of influencing people for donating money for welfare of individuals
suffering from brain tumour. However, this disease is very critical and its treatment is much
expensive which is not easily affordable for everyone. Moreover, it has been analysed that a
efficient teamwork and effective communication skills are required to convince people which
facilitate to gain more funds to help sick individuals (Assiter, 2017).
2.1.1 Teamwork skills
Teamwork skills are very important because every member should complete their tasks
properly to complete entire project of team. A mistake of single person may impact negatively on
project outcomes. It is necessary for team members to create an effective understanding among

2.3 Reflect upon individual contribution and the overall team performance
Considering my contribution in team while organising promotional campaign for fund
raisin, I have experience about the study which has been carried out before conducting the event.
My tasks to conduct research about views of people about donation and the problem of brain
tumour which helps us to use more appropriate information that should be convey to the
audience. Meanwhile, it is observed that we should know about mentality of citizens according
to which effective strategies can be established and implement for encouraging audience to
donate more money for the brain tumour charity. My contribution is to conduct a study about
awareness of individuals regarding brain tumour and their views about donation for charities
who support patients to become well being. This information is very important to be accurately
collected so that we can organise an appropriate event and complete our goal to raise more funds.
I have experience about opinion of citizens on which we have to work on and use information
and tools to motivate people towards donation.
I have another task to collect effective slogans that can be used to increase effectiveness
of entire event for fund raising for brain tumour charity. I use various sources like relevant
magazines, websites, books, journals and articles to gather efficient slogans and other
information which facilitate to improve awareness among people about brain tumour and its
effects. However, I have to manage this information in such a manner that encourage citizens for
donating money. My contribution is to problem correct information which are supportive to
convince public to put their contribution for welfare of patients by donating in brain tumour

impact positively on fund raising program to gain better outcomes in appropriate manner.
2.4 Reflection on experiences by Gibbs' Model of Reflection
Considering my working in a team, I have learn many things including to perform in a
group and establish mutual understanding to complete desired goal properly. It includes to make
an effective coordination between members to work together for completing same objective of
team successfully.

Description – I have work in a team with a project of fund raising for a brain tumour
charity so that they can support individuals suffering from that health issue for their wellness. It
is helpful to me for providing an opportunity for carrying out research by taking views of people
about charities, brain tumours and donation for needy individuals (Hao and Helo, 2017).
However, I learn about gathering relevant data from various sources which is effective to

Feelings – I feel scared before starting research because it was a first time to conduct
such type of study but it provides me better experiences which is helpful for me in future. It is
difficult for me to perform together in a team because my team working skills are not much
effective but this project helps me to build abilities to perform in a group. However, my better
communication helps to perform cooperatively with my colleagues which support to complete
respective tasks in proper manner.
Evaluation – Considering my perform in a team, it has been analysed that I have faced
several problems which are mentioned here. When I was carrying out research by taking views
of people because they are not providing proper opinions and then make an appropriate record of
collected information is quite difficult. Moreover, collecting slogans and relevant data which can
be used in campaigns for conveying information to audience is also challenging because it can be
done by analysing long articles and convert into simple languages which can easily understand
by public (El-Temtamy, O'Neill and Midraj, 2016). It consists positive aspects that I learn to
perform in a team and build my research skills which are favourable for future studies.
Analysis – The fund raising programs for brain tumour charity is helpful to gain money
which is used to support individuals suffering from brain tumour and they are not bale to afford
expensive treatment. It is helpful to encourage public to donate maximum money according to
their capabilities for supporting patients of brain tumour.
Conclusion – I have make my own strategy to conducting a research about opinions of of
