1.0 INTRODUCTIONSkills is defined as capacity and ability which is acquired from systematic, deliberate andsustained efforts for carrying out job functions or difficult activities adaptively and smoothly thatinvolves ideas, people and things (Boyle and et. al., 2019). It can be categorised into general andspecific domain skill. This assignment is based on team or group where they learn various skillsand development for fund raising for Brain Tumor charity to help and support children, youngand adults who are affected from such disease. It is divided into two parts where in first partthere is development of skills and in second part it covers work performance of individual towork in group at time of fund raising. This is group activity work assigned to students fromwhere they have learned various skills and improve their personal development skills. Ithighlights improvement of different skills such as communication, teamwork along withexample. There is use of Gibb's model of reflection to know individual experience and personaldevelopment research and planning. 2.0 AUDIT AND EVALUATION OF KEY SKILLS It is very important for individuals working in team to evaluate their skills and develop it(Cadet, Albertson and Miles-Berry, 2019). The group project is assigned to member of team andanalyse skills to know more about oneself and their capabilities. This assist in developing theirknowledge, skills and experience. It also helps in providing full contribution and improvingoverall team performance. There is use of Gibb's model of reflection to know about one'sexperiences and taking feedback and team targets for improvement. This group work helped mea lot for my personal and professional growth and development. With this, I analysed mystrength and weakness for better work performance. Therefore, audit skill has been done to knowabout skill for working in organisation.2.1 Individual DevelopmentBeing the students I have done many group project which helps me to develop andimprove myself for better work performance. This project is based on rising of funds for BrainTumour Charity people and helping them to recover from it. With this project work, I learnedvarious methods and source from where organisation can raise funds to provide support and helpto affected people which includes young, children and adult so that they can get recover from it.
This can help me in future time period and without any issues and problem I can collect funds anassist charity. I also build skills through this assigned work for better outcomes. 2. 2 Individual SkillsThis exercise helps me a lot in improving and enhancing my skills and knowledge forbetter outcomes. While I was performing work, I came to know about my strong and weakpoints. As I focused to make my strength points to be more strong and improve my weak section.There are various skills which are required for individual to carry out any work assigned to them.For that skill audit has done which is described below:Teamwork- In order to perform group exercise, teamwork is very important forachievement of goal and objectives. Being the team leader of project work that is raising of fundsfor Brain Tumor Charity, teamwork is important so that money can be raised and treatment isprovided to victims. This skills is possessed by me because I easily manage my team and theirwork to complete the activity within given time period. This is my strength and I can easilyperform any work and manage it without any support.Communication- This is the most important skills which should be required withinorganisation and members for better achievement of goal and objectives. Being team leader ofassigned exercise, I have to communicate with each and every member of group so that fundscan be raised effectively and efficiently. As I managed proper communication with my team andalso improve this skill more by working in team. Therefore, this can assist me for enhancing mypersonal and professional growth. Research- This skill is required when there is more finding of any activity. The report isbased on raising funds for Brain Tumor Charity so proper funds can be raised and support canbe provided. While doing work, I found that my research skill is weak as I does not focus tosearch more matter regarding topic and knowledge of topic is also weak. This is required to beimproved for better results. Planning- Being team leader, I made plans and policies in advance for better goal andobjectives achievement. It is very important to focus on each and every aspects so that betterplanning can be made and results can be achieved within given time period. This is strengthswhich I realised as made plan helped other colleagues to work effectively and efficiently andachieve results.
