Restaurants. A Case Study the Restaurants in Boston, UK.
INTRODUCTION
Staff satisfaction is also known as job satisfaction or the employee satisfaction is basically
considered as the level of contentment or happiness which an employee feels while working in a
job. This is the most important aspect in any business as when the employees of the organisation
are happy and feel satisfied then they will strive much hard to put in their best efforts for making
the company successful (Thomas, Brown and Thomas, 2017). On the other hand, when the
employees are dissatisfied or unhappy, then they will focus more on their personal goals instead
of focussing on the professional goals. The restaurants of UK feel the need to satisfy the staff
working there as they are considered as the biggest assets of the restaurant because their
performance decided the customer base as well as progress of the company. When the employees
are satisfied then they have a sense of belongingness towards the company which force them to
focus on the company goals (Watson and et.al., 2018). Employee turnover is the percentage of
the employees who leave the organisation or the restaurant or they are replaced by some other
candidates. This happens when the employees does not feel contended or happy working at the
organisation. The research will therefore, follow all the appropriate methods for gaining in-depth
insights about the ways in which employees of the restaurants can be satisfied and the

data on the requirement is being achieved in the numeric form. The prime objective of collection
of the numeric data is that it is accurate in terms of providing the proper information about the
overall requirements. Through which overall work productivity can be identified and the numeric

data can be properly used to be represented in the numeric form with which a proper
understanding about the certain activities can evaluated. This numeric form is highly significant
because with this approach overall achieved pattern can also be evaluated, with which suitable
steps can be taken. The utilization of quantitative research approach is also highly effective
because with this approach overall work predictability can also be achieved.
Research approach- Research approach is the set of plan and procedure which is being taken
into consideration for the steps of broad assumptions to detailed methods of data collection. The
research approach is widely being used because of its use in deductive logic is often being
implemented in this research approach (Zangirolami-Raimundo, Echeimberg and Leone, 2018).
Deductive logic is often being used as an research approach in quantitative research approach. In
this approach the research is being initiated in the form of quantitative analysis. It is important to
choose a appropriate type of research approach because with this approach, overall requirements
can be properly evaluated in terms of properly managing the large numeric data. This approach is
being taken because with this approach quantitative data can properly be managed because
through this it can be ensured that a properly understanding about the numeric data is being
accomplished.
Research philosophy- A philosophy is the approach in which the data is being gathered and
being used, for the purpose of developing the report. The term research philosophy is often being
used because for the purpose of collecting the data for the research large data is being achieved
through various means. This include factors like primary and secondary sources, therefore
because of which a proper understanding has to be performed. Positivism research philosophy is
being taken within the report because of its efficient use in evaluation of fact based investigation.
Research philosophy deal with the approach in which the data is being collected and used,
therefore because of significant in this case because information is being collected from various
sources. Thus it is important that authenticity and privacy of the information is being maintained.
Data Collection- The overall data collection for this report is being done through the means of
primary as well as secondary approach because through this approach, a wide range of

being taken into consideration because with this approach, customers review on the overall
quality index is being identified. In terms of evaluating the overall quality index, is being
evaluated and through which appropriate steps can be identified. This is an necessary step
because by identifying the performance gap appropriate strategy can be formed on the bases of
achieved numeric data.
Sampling- Sampling is the process which is often being performed within the reports, in terms
of performing quantitative data analysis. This is an effective approach because in this approach a
specific set of individuals are being taken as an sample audience which resembles the wider
audience group. The prime reason for sampling is that it resembles that overall outcomes of the
large targeted audience for the report and due to which it is often being used to generate proper
finding. Non-probability sampling is being used in this approach because of its effectiveness in
terms of analysing the quantitative data (Ragab and Arisha, 2018). Also it is highly productive in
terms of evaluating the overall effectiveness of the product, with which appropriate steps can be
taken to identify the overall level of engagement of the customers. To evaluate the average
requirements for the population non-probabilistic approach is highly effective because the
selected 50 and more participants are being able to resemble the basic type of performance which
is required to perform basic operation.
Data analysis- Data analysis is the approach in which the data is being processes in which
activities like inspecting, transforming, cleansing and modelling is being performed. This is an
necessary steps because through this step overall data is being used to derive an overall
conclusion of the evaluation which is being performed. This is being used to support the
decision-making process by showcasing the overall variants of the analysis, through which
suitable steps can be taken. Cross tabulation is the most effective data analysis approach which is
often being used in the research methods because of its high effectiveness in terms of analysing
the large data.
Ethical consideration- All the ethical factors were being taken into consideration and the ethical
factors are being fulfilled. This include that factors that during the process of development of
primary research approach, all the topic based questions were being found and no such set of
question was being asked which violated the personal sentiments of the candidate (Turnbull,
Chugh and Luck, 2021). Also all the information which is being integrated within this approach
is completely set developed and not being stolen. Also proper credits are also being given for the

guides which were being consideration as an reference for the research approach. Since the
quantitative research approach is being taken into consideration, therefore because of which the
information to be evaluated within the report is being achieved. By conducting the survey on the
ground level and also company information which is being available in the public domain is
being involved within the report.

DISCUSSION
On the basis of above analysis and interpretation it can clearly be said that there is
interrelationship between staff satisfaction and staff turnover. Improved staff satisfaction or
satisfied staff stay with company and decrease staff turnover rate. Whereas, poor dissatisfaction
or dissatisfied employees do not stay with business and leave organization that increases staff
turnover rate. Some main reasons of staff dissatisfaction and staff turnover that have been
interpreted and known from above findings include: lack of motivation, increasing workload,
unsafe working environment and discrimination on the basis of gender, age and others. It is also
known that for satisfying employees it is important for employers to identify their needs and
reasons as why they are working (De Sousa Sabbagha, Ledimo and Martins, 2018). There is
some motivation and reason behind working and by knowing their motivation, employers can
provide motivational factors accordingly. For example: Some employees have financial needs
and it is the main reason of their working in restaurants and organizations. When such needs
have been satisfied then it satisfies employees and they are more likely to stay with business and
also support their company in meeting their goals. As like this, some employees have non-
financial needs and for that they work such as they want to get appraised. So, accordingly by
celebrating their success and appraising them in front of all other employees, employers can
satisfy them and increase staff retention rate.

dissatisfaction leads frustration among them and it may related to the reason of dissatisfaction.
For example: if there is a workload then employees faces difficulties in managing their tasks and
they have work for extra hours. It dissatisfies when they are not being appraised. Due to
workload and extra working hours they find problems in maintaining a balance between personal
and professional life. Along with professional life, enjoying personal life is important and when
employees do not enjoy their personal life then they become frustrated. It all happens because of
ineffective strategies that lead dissatisfaction. So, from this also it can be said that satisfaction
among staff is directly proportional or associated with staff turnover. Some strategies have also
