INTRODUCTION In an organisation, the facilities are required to be managed and handled in a proper way. The effective management of operations and various functionalities will help in proper handling of business activities. The management of an organisation will look after proper handling of a wide range of business operations that support the increase of capabilities and effectiveness within a firm. For the project, Marriott Group is been chosen as organisation of context. It is a UK based hospitality enterprise. The project involves a report including assessment of roles and responsibilities of a facilities' manager for staff involving various aspects of firm. Besides this, the role of facilities manager towards customer care is evaluated(Gao and You, 2015). Apart from this, the impact of facilities operations on employers and funding agencies is discussed. A presentationinvolvingvariousstatutoryregulations,healthandsafetymeasuresand documentationrequirementsarebeenassessed.Otherthanthis,anessayincludingthe information processing system, requirements of building management and assessment of the qualities and effectiveness of facilities for the firm are provided. TASK 1 AC1.1Assessingtheresponsibilitiesoffacilities'managerforstaffengagedinfacilities operations The facilities' management plays a very deep and crucial role in handling of operations and thus support effective execution of business operation in a greater run. The facility management involves the effective providing of support services that are required to be managed and offered to customer for an effective handling of operations and activities. It can be defined as an organizational functionality which integrates people, place and process and thus, helps in setting up of environment and condition that will support an improvement in living standard of life people leads. Other than this, it scopes to increase in productivity of core business which operate within a country or a location(Mayo and Issa, 2015). Refurbishment and Security:They will look after the carrying out of the renovation or construction process within the firm. As facilities' manager will see through the proper management of business operations and maintaining of different activities and actions within the cited hospitality business entity. Some major roles and responsibilities of a facility manager towards the customers are as follows: They will access the needs and requirements of customers and will take suitable measures to fulfill them effectively(Gao and You, 2015). Properorganizationalfunctionslikemaintainingofcustomercareservices, transportation, providing information related to products and firm, etc. will be carried out. The business operations and actions that are been carried out by the firm in an effective way in order to execute different business operations and activities in a very significant manner. In regard of hospitality industry like Marriott Group, the activities are required to be provided with the legal compliance and according to code of conduct followed within Marriott Group. This will help the organization to look after its stakeholders, customers and staff's requirements and take proper steps to meet them(Hoyos, Morales and Akhavan-Tabatabaei, 2015). The benefit of implementing the statutory and legal operations will help the origination to handle the business activities and actions to a greater extent. This will not only make the functioning of the firm more effective but also reduce the chances of any sort of conflict that can influence organizations performance in a negative manner. Apart from this, the funding agencies that are associated with the firm will remain satisfied due to the effective execution of wide range of facilities and actions. The absence of any illegal proceeding and money related activities will help in building good trust level of stake holders, customers and staff within the firm. 3

Some major system that can be utilized by the firm are as follows: Management information system:also known as MIS, this will help the firm in centralizing thevarious departments and carrying out of the different operations and activities to a greater extent. This will interlink the various departments of the cited MIS and thus will help the organization to carry out the operations and activities in a better way. It will help in processing of different information and helps in maintaining business communication. Financial management system:this will help the firm to manage and handle its financial relatedoperationsandmanagementofrevenuewithinthefirm.Thiswillimprovethe functionality of the firm. The assessment of the various accounts of firm helps in its financial management and draw a monetary plan that will help in gaining economic stability. AC4.1 Establish appropriate criteria to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of facilities operations. Marriott group and criteria can be set within the firm that will help in better meeting of targeted goals and objective by the cited hospitality entity. This will also help the business organization to maintain the quality standards and effectiveness related to facilities operations. It will involve the measures like setting of targeted goals and objectives that will help in drafting a good operational plan for the cited hospitality entity (Stenqvist, Nielsen and Bengtsson, 2015). This can e done using an automated as well as manual system that will help in increasing the 5
performance of a business entity. Other than this, the providing proper training, and skill improvement measures. It will involve the assessment of proper vision, mission and setting of standards related to different operational measures within the firm. An effective planning and significant execution of business activities will help the organization to handle the business activities and operations. It will guide the firm in a positive and correct direction that will lead to the growth and development of business activities and operations in a better way. Also, the rise in knowledge and skill sets of employees will help the organization to meet the targeted aims and objectives with an effeciency. AC4.2 Implement evaluation and review procedures to analyze the quality and effectiveness of facilities operations. In order to conduct the proper evaluation of the business activities and operations by the business organization, the firm will look after the proper implementation of the wide range of business activities that will help in increasing effectiveness of firm. For this, the strategic facility planning approach is been undertaken by Marriott Group that will help in improving its performance (Low, Gao and Ang, 2018). This should be affordable and feasible for the business entity in case of implementation. Besides this, the organization has to look after the operational cost related to offering of different facilities or services to their clients. This will help the firm to have a good revenue generation and handling of a wider business activities. CONCLUSION On the basis of the presented project, this can be said that the management of operation and facilities is very crucial, critical yet important for a business entity. This assessment has helped in identifying the different measures that will improving the quality of services and business activities which will improve its business performance. Other than this, different legal obligations related to facilities and operations are been taken in consideration by a firm which will support a significant rise in operations and thus increase the quality of services that are been offered by the firm to its customers. Besides this, the proper system for management planning and adoption of systems that will make the work environment of the organization hassle and stress free with proper evaluation criteria for the employees.
