INTRODUCTIONOperations management deals with the business operation to plan an effective strategywhich helps in increasing productivity and profitability of organisation in marketplace. Thismanagement system is main part of organization to supply the best quality of good and services.They will perform different task and operations such as planning, coordinating, organizing andcontrolling etc. this report will discuss about the city view Hotel and their business operationsand functions. The main objective of this management system to manage the entire businessoperations and function to meet all the objectives of organization. This assignment will describe the main responsibilities of facility manager towards thecity view Hotel in UK. This report will discuss about the best strategy for improve theperformance of organization. A Facility Manager is responsible to manage the entire business processeffectively and efficiently (Dixit and Lavy, 2016). The main scope of this management system toprovide the services to the private and public organization and also coordinate with the supplyand demand. Facility Manager is very intelligent person and highly qualified to easilyunderstand the need and requirement of staff members and employees. This manager will needto improve the performance of business operations and functions in proper manner. There aredifferent type of role and responsibilities towards the staff as following:Facility is operating on a daily basis- They will directly communicate with the staffmember to share the important information regarding projects. They will take the right decisionat right place and right time therefore, the business process is running in smooth way. Managerof city view hotel has more responsibilities to manage their employee and motivate towards theirgoals and achievements. Manager is generally highly visible towards their tasks.Supervising multi-disciplinary teams: Multi-disciplinary team is responsible to containtwo or more professions to provide the coordination and integrated services.Making an effective plan for future development-In City view Hotel, The mainresponsibility of facility manager to provide the support to their employee and staff member.1
They will identify the need and requirement of organization for future development. It is theresponsibility of facility manager to work with their staff member and also determine the bestquality of resources such as equipment and path. This is an essential for organization to providethe best services to their employee. Managing and developing the vendor contract- The facility manager is working with thenew vendor which is helpful for increasing the resources in the organization. Manager isresponsible person to maintain the relationship with the new vendor (Ghiani and Vigo 2014).They are planning an effective strategy to develop new ideas for growth and development. There are some important role and responsibilitydiscuss in following:Maintenance and repair-The facility manager is playing important role to provide thebest quality of equipment which is necessary for the customers those who are visiting the hotel.This is an essential for City view Hotel to maintain their services because the customer attracttowards their design and infrastructure (Gunasekaran and Papadopoulos, 2014). Manager willprovide the services such as repair and equipment because some times, it will damage theequipment such as light, fan etc. This hotel always maintain their services in front of thecustomersMechanical and Electrical System- Manager of City View Hotel should be maintaintheir electrical appliances and other equipment which is important for this hotel to increase theirproductivity and profitability in global marketplace. The facility manager of this companyresponsible to manage all the electrical and mechanical system and it will communicate with theother department to manage and repair in proper manner. Managing the statutory regulations- The facility Manager has more responsibilities tomanage the business process and establish their business across the world.
