As a human resource manager, the better time to make employee overtime rather than to
appoint new employees to meet the production goals is when the company wanted to
increase their production procedure. Employee’s overtime in an organization only takes
place when the company wanted to enhance their production rate rather than to invent
new products or service procedures.
The procedures of overtime can possess a negative effect over the employees as it enables
the staff to give their full effort in their working process. Many employees accept the
overtime aspects due to the lack of resting numerous problems in business operation can
generate for this aspect. In other words, long working hours increases the health problems
of employees and therefore it increases the safety risk of staff members. Besides this,
overtime though increases productivity but it can diminish the quality of goods and
performance level of the employees. Hence by this way overtime possess negative effect
over both employees as well as organizations too.
