INTRODUCTION
Green computing can be defined as a way through which environment impact of a
technology can be reduced by using less energy, reducing wastage, and promoting sustainability.
This assignment will focus upon ways in which implementation of BIS app can help HOD in
achieving main green computing requirements. This assignment is based upon a business named
as HOD (Help over desk) in public sector operated by local government. They are focusing upon
expanding their overall business by acquiring a new business information system application in
an environment friendly manner or in order words way want to acquire and BIS application in
eco-friendly manner so that its negative impact upon environment can be reduced. It has become
important for HOD organization to identify green computing issues and ways in which BIS
solution can help in resolving Green computing issues and can operate in environment friendly
manner. this assignment will discuss characteristics and global significance of green computing,
opportunities and challenges posed by green computing, ways in which green computing
requirements can be fulfilled, and theories that will be used.

The uses of IT are rapidly growing exponentially per years, it has been growing rapidly
which become consider as compulsory for business information system holder to pay more
attention towards consumption of IT resources. It come up with innovative idea and method for
minimising the energy consumption by using software or hardware approach. As per given
scenario, Local government operating in the public sector and its current business is HOD help
over Distance. This type of BIS help for business to achieve their desirable goal and objective.
Green computing is based on the new approach to manufacture as eco-friendly hardware devices,
components and other kind of innovative techniques (Ojo, Raman and Downe, 2019). These are
helping to save energy of software and implement best practice to support in the critical mission.
The characteristic of green computing means consider as innovations which mainly based on
the principles and sustainable development. By using this approach, local government enterprise

can reuse all essential resources. Its primary goal is to reduce negative influence on the
