INTRODUCTION
The term professional identity and practices is explicated as a process which an individual for
enhance their skills and capabilities to perform their work according to decided goals. An
individual who perform work in an organised manner is able to accomplish longer results which
also includes high standard of living. This report is written from perspective of specialised
profession who manage and organise their work in games industry through performing the role
and responsibilities of animation and they are responsible for creating multiple images and
frames that give an illusion of movement (Barnaby, 2019). Moreover, this report highlights on
development of creative media production industry and also examines the skills and knowledge
required to perform work in media industry. In the last, areas for professional development for
improve career as a professional will also include in this report.
TASK 1
P1 Examine the development of creative media production industry
In the present scenario, creative media sector engage in different sector of industries and
most of them are offering a large number of job roles to cover the overall industry. Interactive
media, radio, development of computer games, etc. are some example of creative media sector.
Animation role is a way of formulating frames that exists within games and the person who
makes animations is known as an animator.
History of Animation- It was started before the development of creative media production
industry and according to the traditional scenario; humans probably attempted towards depict
motion. In simple terms, animation refers to the shows which are demonstrates through the
number of images and to move or manipulate them hands or minor mechanics are utilised by the
creator. This also refers that the era of animation is older than one century and with rise of
cinematic industry, different animation techniques were developed to demonstrate objects and
show in more transparent manner.
From the perspective of Video games sector, animation face different days and it refers
that they are no longer only few number of pixels that generate geometric shape on screen.
According to present market conditions, Animations are complex pieces of art which take years
to years for formulation (Chen, 2018). This results its breach the limits of real-time graphics and
according to this the period of 80s and 90s generate different animation perspective and they

consist only few poses within the games. Magic Lantern, Thaumatrope, Zoetrope, etc. are some
example which demonstrates more clarity of animation related history.
Development or Evolution according to time
With the on-going transition and transformation of virtual from 2D to 3D this is identified
that computer animation is changed in a rapid manner. This governs the traditional task of
redrawing state changed and flown from 24 to 100 and it was a great change from the traditional
task. Many additional support positions perform an important role and it considered developing
dozens takes time to manage task in a decided manner. In the predecessors’ games, animation is
not able to overlap but with the change in time this is identified number of players and encounter
of enemies both are engage through animation. The example of identifying change was an
example of Pac-man game and in this few attack against player by animation pushed the
animation further to engage more number of players in video games (Eigler and Azarpour,
2020). In the 90 era, change among animation generated more publicity among games and Mario
64 was an example of the graphics. Current era considered towards formulation of animation that
are real time based. X-box was an example and it introduces games at the world-wide level.
This refers that the initial period or era of animation was a difficult job and now it relates with
period of performing jobs according to current scenario and it allows an individual to engage and
develop skills as an expert.
