INTRODUCTION
Human resource management is the structure which effectively manages all people which an
organization has. This case is all about the Posh Nosh limited which gives the fast food services
They do not have any HR department (Huemann, Keegan and Turner, 2007). So they hired a HR
professional for their business and tell them to give the importance of the human resource
management In this case the researcher analyse the difference between the personnel
management,function of the human resource management, how to recruit and select employees,
how to give motivation and rewards to the employee and knowing the mechanism for the cessation
of the employee. There are different methods used by Posh Nosh manager for monitoring the
performance of their staff and employee within the organization. Being small sized enterprise
company uses various traditional approaches and methods for monitoring the employee
performance that is observation technique or taking proper response and feedback from all the
employees rendering quality services within the organization.

1.1 Analysing the difference between personnel and human resource management
The difference between human resource management and personnel management:-

no formal structure of the department due to which a workload on CEO has increases. By following

As HRM deals with the effective management so there is smooth running of the organization. There
is no wastage of the resources because HRM deals all the resources as assets of the organization
which gives profit to the organization. By following this approach the performance of the workers
should also be known. So a company can take some kind of training program which employee
needed. By this approach an organization runs in the effective way.(Mathis, 2016).
1.2 Analysing the function of human resource management and their contribution
The following function of the human resource management gives a lot of contribution in the
success of the Posh Nosh Limited :-
1. Human resource planning:- by human resource planning the company plans all future
activities that they need in future. It contributes lots to the organization because by planning
the company forecasts all the things that need in future and what requirements they had to
made for that business.
2. Recruitment and selection:- another function of the human resource department is the
recruitment and selection. by recruitment and selection a right candidate required for the
business should be selected so they work better in the organisation.
3. Implementing organizational policies:- it also forms policies for the organization so
organization runs in the smooth way. By this the company can form the policy in proper
manner and also see whether all the rules are followed by the workers or not. This all are
formed and see by the department.
4. Employee welfare and motivation:- this function deals with motivation of the employee. By
this function all workers done their work happily without any kind of pressure. A happy
employees make organisation to its success. They organise various kind of function for the
employee like get together,Lunch parties so by this employee should motivated.(Price,
2011).
5. Employee grievances:- HR department solves all the problems of employee. They can link
their problem to management and give a perfect solution of their problem. By this workers
remain happy with the organization and goal should be achieved on time.
1.3 Analysing the roles and responsibilities of line manager by the client size of Posh Nosh Limited
As in this case the Posh Nosh limited has ten outlets in the London area so following are the
role and responsibilities of the line manager in human resource management:-
