INTRODUCTION
Every organisation deals with different functions and operations with the help of good
team. In this way, human resources are playing key roles to recruit people, giving training and
many more. They demonstrate their roles in some other areas as well which includes making
strategy, compensation, benefits, safety, etc. These attributes are considered vital importance in
accomplishment of business goals and objectives as well (Paloutzian and Park, 2014). It also
includes social significance for increasing employment opportunity and reducing waste in
systematic manner. In this context, present report is based on Hilton Brighton Metropole hotel
which is a hospitality sector enterprise in UK market. It is 4-star hotel and conference centre
located in Brighton East Sussex. Currently it is the largest conference centre of UK.
In order to focus on the company, report covers comparison and contrasting of different
organisational structure and culture with its impact on the business performances. Furthermore, it
includes factors that influence individual behaviour at workplace. Moreover, it discusses ways to
motivate people in the organisation. In addition to this, it analyses methods which assists to
monitor employee performances. At last, it explains nature of group and group behaviour in
enterprise.
TASK 1
Compare and contrast different organisational structure and culture with its impact on selected
enterprise
Organisational structure helps the company in order to achieve objective. Through
implementing effective constitution, they are able to improve quality of service or product. There
are various factors that affects the arrangement, such as objective, size and processing of the
company (Cheeseman and Garvey, 2014). There are mainly three types of structures that are
considered by firms. Such as functional, divisional and matrix. Hilton hotel considers divisional
structure.

Through this structure organisation is able to monitor every level effectively. With the
help of this approach, they have placed supervisor at every stage. It helps the company, in order
to overcome all the weaknesses of the structure and improves the functionality. There are various
other strategies are also available (Clark and et. al., 2016). According to them firm can only
focus either on the function or at the communication activities. With the help of this approach,
they are able to manage different operational level effectively.

Culture of company refers to the working environment. It helps the organisation in order to
represents their values, ethics, objectives and objectives (da Silva and Shinyashiki, 2014). Hilton
hotel is working with certain specific values, that mentioned below: Hospitality: They are passionate to provide effective service and best experience to their
customers. Integrity: They are providing goods services within time limit. Leadership; They are working to be leader of their sector. Teamwork: They are working in a team (Patel, Messersmith and Lepak, 2013). Ownership: They are having creative actions and new decisions to achieve objective.
Now: They are working with sense of responsibilities and discipline.
Along with these organisation is also having corporate culture. With the help of this they
are trying to introduce unique culture across the world. For this they are conveying their
objectives to employees effectively. Along with this they are distributing work force into small
teams. Thereafter they are providing details of values and cultures (Gelens and et. al., 2013).
Through considering divisional structure they are able to distribute work into small groups. It
helps to improve quality of their services. With the help of organisational culture they are able to
provide direction to their employees.
Factors that influence individual behaviour in work
Individual behaviour is assessed through situation of the business which need to be
handled in a systematic manner. It is influenced through different factors that are as follows:
Abilities
Abilities define as traits of a person which assists to learn various things from the
environment in which they work. Traits are also determines as gift from the birth. In Hilton hotel
different people possess different traits such as intellectual abilities, physical abilities and self-
awareness abilities (Goetsch and Davis, 2014). Due to differences in intellectual abilities of a
person, work pattern also change. For example, A is a person in the organisation which has high
IQ level can be given analytical tasks in Hotel while B is a person who has strong physique can
be made to do tasks which require power and physical strength like lifting heavy load etc.
Gender
With the help of research, it has been identified that men and women both stand equal in
terms of job performances. Their mental abilities are also driven in same way to do task in
