INTRODUCTIONHuman resource management is the continues process that helps to manage theemployee relationship and also helps to build the individual growth by manage the talentand workforces. Therefore, HR departments organize the Performance managementprogramme and Training and development programme to enhance the motivationamong the employees (Kamoche,2019). On other words, it is the practice of hiring,recruiting and deploying and managing an organization's employees that may helps toorganization for selecting the best candidate in order to provide the best person for thesuitable job ans also helps to achieve the overall organization goal.The report is based on human resource department of chocolate presence.based in North Yorkshire, which provides tailor-made chocolate-based greetings cards and presents across the UK. The report willcover the human resource departments activities such as purpose and function of HRM,advantage and disadvantage of different recruitment and selection methods, benefits ofHR practices in the context on both employer and employee and also related toperformance and productivity. Furthermore, report will explain the importance ofemployee relation, different laws that helps in order to take better decision. Thus, this department includes the different types ofactivities such as recruiting, selecting, inducting employees, providing orientation,imparting training and development, appraising the performance of employees, decidingcompensation and providing benefits, motivating employees, maintaining properrelations with employees and their trade unions, ensuring employees safety, welfareand healthy measures in compliance with labour laws of the land.1

There are different types of function and the purpose of HR, and they handle thedifferent range of works in order to maintain the sustainability and achieving theobjective of the firm. HR planning — The purpose of human resource department of chocolate presence ismake the proper planning to manage the workforce and manage the talent by using thedifferent methods to motivate the employees. Therefore, the management team identifythe needs of customer that how many people firm require to achieve the current andfuture objective of the firm. Thus, chocolate presence asses the demand of employeesand prepare the job analysis to attract the employees (Edwards, SchnyderandFortwengel, 2019). Further, HR team of chocolate presence establishing a planforrecruiting, hiring, training, appraising, compensating, and organize and motivatingemployees. Thus, this plan includes the budget, identify the requirement of capital,review the budget in order to eliminate the gaps. Therefore, by managing the employeebudget it can help to achieve the overall short and long term objective of the firm.Recruitment & selection — Recruitment methods is one of the essential and primarymethods of the HR department. Thus, the main purpose of chocolate presence is recruitthe employees externally by using the appropriate selection method which is personalitytest and interview to select the employees in order to enhance the productivity of thefirm. Therefore, the test is require the 50 % of marks in both English and maths test.Thus, when employee passed then they go to next round which is interview. Therefore,firm also provide the brief information about the company policies and procedures inorder to behave ethically in work environment. Performance management — The human resource department is responsible forvarious aspects of Performance management. Thus, the HR team of chocolatepresence identify the individual performance of the employees that they have ability ofmanage the work on time that means identify about how individuals contribute to anorganization's goals (Machlis and Tichnell, 2019). The purpose of HR department isthat they effectively manage the performance by organize the appraisals process andfocuses on aligning your workforce, improving employee performance anddevelopment, building competencies, and enhance the better business results.
