INTRODUCTION
In the today's time, there is huge level of competition in the hospitality industry as every
hotel designs its own strategy and tactics to attract the large numbers of customers. Lots of hotels
and restaurants uses such innovative and latest technologies for deal with customer and distribute
hotel services in excellent manner. With help of digital technology, hotel industry can enhance
their profitability and productivity in the market (Saunders, Chan and Chan, 2002). In the digital
technology includes all platforms like social media, laptops, computers etc. These all assist to the
corporation in saving the time as well as operation cost. The present report is based on the impact
of digital technology on the activities and performance of the small business enterprise in the
hospitality industry. In this report, researcher have major objective is to determine that how
digital technology make the business operation easy and enhance performance in the restaurants.
For attain this objective, scholar have applied several kinds of research methods for address the
right solution of research problem.

operation, hotel sector can provide more fast and flexible services to its customers. In the
present study, the major objective of researcher is to analyse that how digital technology make

systematic time period. Due to the short period, sometime scholar have to face issue in

data collection. In this manner, scholar will conduct survey for primary data collection

systematic questionnaire and send to all respondents. In order to send this questionnaire
to the respondents, scholar will take personal email address and send questionnaire to
them. This is very effective method to conduct entire investigation in without any biasses.
Furthermore, respondents can freely fulfil the questionnaire without any biasness. Risk management- In the present study, scholar will collect secondary information about
the subject. In the secondary data collection, there is major risk related to plagiarism.
Thus, scholar should make sure all information converted into the own words so as

philosophies, research design, data collection, data analysis, sampling etc. In the present study,

Thus, for attain this objective, researcher has applied several methods of research methodology
which are described below- Research philosophies- This is a path which defines the solution of research problem in

Christensen, 2010). On the other hand in the quantitative research, it is used to quantify
the problem by way of generating numerical data. In the present study, the major

under which investigation can conduct with help of survey method.

sampling method under which 20 employees of Black Penny restaurant has been selected.

organisation can enhance the speed and growth of the operation (Bulgurcu, Cavusoglu and
Benbasat, 2010). This assist in saving the time and enhance the speed of business operation.
From this study it has been also concluded that in the communication and customer service
activities, digital technology mostly used in the Black Penny restaurant. In addition to this, at the
time of implementing digital technology, company have faced the issue related to the cost and
prices. Following are some recommendation for the cited venture through which it can improve
its business operation by implement digital technology-
 Black penny should focus on the new and latest software and applications by which it can
make its business operation and activities more easy and fast (Abdillah, 2014). For
instance, in the digital world there are various software available related to finance and
accounts etc through which company can save its time. Thus, it can be said that by
implement this technology, it can enhance speed of business operation.
 Restaurant should develop its own application of shopping through which it can place the
order of customer for the Food (Bilbao-Osorio, Dutta and Lanvin, 2013) With help of
online application, customer can easily place the order to food so it can be said that this
idea assist in enhancing the speed of business.
 Restaurant should engage with social media platforms such as Facebook, twitter, you
tube etc in order to make promotion and advertisement. By this it can easily attract the
large numbers of customers. (Borghoff and Pareschi, 2013.)
 Restaurant should set laptop, computer and Wi-Fi in every functional department through
which each activity and operation can conduct in more fast and excellent manner.

P 7 Reflection about the conducted research investigation about the subject
From this entire research study, I have learnt so many new things about the investigation
and research methodology. In this study, the major objective is to analyse that how digital
technology make business operation easy and fastest in the restaurant business with respect of
Black Penny restaurant. For attain this objective, several kinds of research methodology has been
implemented in this study. Thus, I have effectively understood the methods and techniques of the
research methodology. In addition to this I have conducted primary data collection under which I
have undertaken survey from 20 employees of the Black Penny. Thus, I can say that by doing
this survey my communication, interpretation, analytical and interaction skill has been enhanced.
From this study, I have gained effective knowledge about the digital platforms and its
implementation within the business operation. I have also learnt that with help of digital
platform, company can directly get touch with customer and promote its services in the market.
In the restaurant business, by use several digital software and application, company can enhance
speed of the business operation.
