INTRODUCTION
The term Globalisation refers to as the process between people in terms of interaction and
integration (GLOBALISATION & HRM, 2013). This is a process that is followed between
companies along with people and also the governments worldwide. In the following report, Caffe
Nero has been taken into consideration. It is a coffee house in European style that is
headquartered in London.
Thus, this report highlights on aims and objectives with help of producing project
management plan. Furthermore, this report also provides with WBS and Gantt chart. In addition
to this, whole report is based on research that facilitates the impact of Globalisation on Human
Resource Management within Caffe Nero.
LO 1
P1. Devising project aims and objectives.
Background
Globalisation is the movement of goods, services and people freely across the whole
world in an integrated manner (Agarwal and Al Qouyatahi, 2018). The impact of Globalisation
on economy, politics and society has increased functionally within individual countries. Thus, it
has affected very significantly to the standard of living, economic growth and general availability
and also to the products that are affordable. It is also been grounded in a theory of comparative
advantage in which it has been stated that countries those are good in producing particular good
are better in exporting them to those where there is lack of efficiency in producing good. Caffè
Nero is a leading coffee house company founded in London in 1990 and now operating in
several international locations. The company ranks as the UK’s third the biggest coffee shop
chain according to number of stores and ranked as the fourth biggest on the European coffee
market in 2015. Caffe Nero is one of the most visited coffee shop and sandwich bar companies in
the UK and contributed a total revenue of 255 million British pounds to the UK coffee shop
industry in 2015.

P2. Producing project management plan covering aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources.
Project Management Plan is defined as the way in which individual organizes and also
manges the resources that are actually necessary in order to complete a particular project
(Anderson and Morrison, 2018). Furthermore, the main purpose of this plan that document that
helps everyone that are involved with that particular project in order to communicate and detail
the information and also describe process that has to be undertaken by the project. It is the
practice to initiate, plan, execute, control and closing of work to achieve the goals that are being
targeted within specific period.
Cost- Cost shows the budget that is required to complete the particular project. In this the
project manager that represents me is responsible in dispersing resources in appropriate
manner (Wilton, 2016).
Scope- I have to improve scope in the project management plan. Thus, to make a project
as an automated process they will have to first define the scope by stating the beginning
and end of the process.
Time- they must also analyse the time that will be taken in order to complete a particular
project.
Quality- Quality plays vital role in plan of project management. The project should have
an ability in defining the quality.
Communication- this outlines about the communication regarding project to the
audiences. This plan helps in ensuring that right information is delivered to right person.
Risk- in this, the risk that re unlikely to occur and that one who also has the low costs are
mainly noted in this plan.
Resources- Resources that are required in project management plan is not only money but
also skills and talent that helps in delivering project successfully.

WBS Chart-
The term WBS chart is referred to as work break down structure in which the work
elements that are critical of a project that is known as tasks are illustrated in order to portray their
relationship to each other and also to project as a whole (Björkman and Welch, 2015).
Gantt chart-
As comparing to WBS chart, this chart helps in defining the flow of activities in a project
(Barnes and Adam, 2018). It shows all the activities that are being placed on bar chart in order,
right from left hand in terms of following precedence rules. Thus, Gantt chart is a tool that is
being used by project manager to analyse the estimated time that can be taken to complete the
activities or the project (Taylor, 2017).

important element for those who are seeking for academic positions. It is a summary of research

observations that leads in analyses that are statistical (Shiri, 2014). Interpretivism involves the

interpretivism research philosophy.

is main point of distinctive between both deductive and inductive approaches. Further, deductive
approach is followed when the dissertation is needed to be confirmed or rejective during the
process of research. While, inductive research approach is does not involve any type of
formulation of hypotheses. Thus, Inductive research approach has been adopted by the project
manager of cited company.
Research Design- This is designed as a plan that is general that defines about what
should be done in order to answer the research question (Shaikh, 2015). This can be divided into
two groups that includes Exploratory Research and Conclusive research. Exploratory research
main purpose is to explore specific aspects of research area. Rather than providing final and
conclusive answers for questions in research. The other research design that is conclusive is
mainly applied in order to generate findings that are useful for concluding or decision making.
Thus, Caffe Nero adopts the Exploratory research design for designing a particular plan.
Data Collection- It is the process that helps in collecting information from all the sources
that are relevant for finding answers to the problem related to research (Marchington, Wilkinson,
Donnelly and Kynighou, 2016). Further, it is divided into two methods that includes primary and
secondary data collection. Primary data is collected with help of observation, interviews
questionnaires, etc. in addition to this, secondary data is one which is published already in books,
newspapers, magazines, journals, online portals etc. Thus, project manager uses both methods of
collecting data.
Sampling- This technique is divided into two categories as probability and non
probability (Marchington, 2015). Thus, in probability sampling, each member of a population
has a non zero chance of participating. The core of sampling technique is Randomisation. While,
in non probability sampling, the group members are selected non-randomly, therefore in non
probability sampling only limited members have a chance to participate. Therefore, project
manager of Caffe Nero uses probability technique of sampling. There involved 25 members.
Data analysis- there are two types of data analysis that is qualitative and quantitative. In
qualitative analysis of data, the researchers uses interviews, focus groups or experiments (J.
Hurn, 2014). On the other hand, quantitative data analysis involves critical analysis and also
interpretation of figures and numbers behind the main findings. These methods also includes
discussion about common patterns and controversies within secondary data that is related
directly to research areas. Thus, qualitative data analysis has been used by the stated company.
