INTRODUCTION

available. Report highlights the comparison between two email providers and also analyzed the feature of
both the provider and then goes on to explain which one is better for business uses and then reports goes

Gmail: Gmail is a free electronic mail providing service to the customer, it is developed by
Google. Gmail was set up on 1 April, 2004. There is more than 1 billion users who uses Google
mail as a primary portal to mail. Founder of Google mail is Paul Buchheit.
Yahoo! Mail: Yahoo! Mail is also a free electronic mail providing service developed by Yahoo!,
was launched in the year 1997. There are 227.8 million users of Yahoo! mail in the current
market. Founder of Yahoo! mail is Jerry Yang and David Filo (Banatwala andet.al., 2018
).
Difference between Gmail and Yahoo! Mail
Features: Gmail offers a lot more innovative features to the user as compare to the Yahoo! Mail.
Gmail offers a feature of voice call and also added the feature of a video call which has let his
user to have a call, Gmail also offers a feature of chatting in the platform and also allow user to
send SMS through the mail which are not offered in the Yahoo! Mail.
Security: When it comes on security Gmail is consider more secure as compare to the Yahoo!
Mail as expiry time of the session is very high in Yahoo! Mail then in the Gmail. Gmail also not
generally allows showing the advertisement on the web page but Yahoo! Mail allows it which
can creates cookies into the system and can be harmful for the system.
