Apple Inc. was founded in 1976 by Steve Woznik, Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. It is an
American multinational company headquartered in California. It develops designs as well as
sells the computer software’s, consumer electronics, and online services (Arocha, 2017). It
mainly targets the premium customers by offering premium quality products. In today’s time,
creativity and innovation has become an important aspect of every organization in order to
gain the competitive advantage. By adopting these aspects in the industry, Apple Inc. has
become one of the most innovative companies in the recent years. The discussion is also
carried on the creativity and innovation done by Apple Inc. From these innovations, future
development in the industry is also discussed.
Apple is regarded as one of the most innovative company by assuring various developments
in products and applying innovative business models. Apple has also built an effective and
efficient innovation system in order to bring creativity among its staff that will further bring
the new ideas and innovation at the workplace (Sarooghi, Libaers and Burkemper, 2015). In
recent year, Apple is also treated as the best-secured future company by adopting innovative
approaches in the organization. The best innovative products of Apple Inc. in the last year
were Apple Watch series 3, Airpods, iPhone X and ARKit. In today’s time, Apple is one of
the best valuable companies by making the outstanding computing devices from Macs to the
watch that people strap on the wrist. It beat out the Square, Netflix, Amazon, and Tencent
who were among the top five companies. The recent iPhone X is the fast selling innovative
device of Apple Inc. It also earns the respect for its traditional innovation of Apple TV, Apple
Music, Carekit. Creativity means creating some new ideas, approaches and based on that
actions are taken. Innovation, on the other hand, is applying those creative ideas in making
some useful products or in generating any useful services or business practices in the
organization. Therefore, innovation is the essence of creativity. In this way, it can be said that
creativity in the organization leads to innovation. In this context, Silverman (2015) stated that
Leaders could not simply command a new culture. In addition, the organization has to
develop the new routines in order to fit into the current organizational culture that will further
embrace the innovation. According to Bryson (2018) collaboration is also one aspect of
culture that cultivate the innovation in organizations.

For ensuring creativity and innovation, it follows a process. Search is the first step in this
process. In this step, it properly research for what it want to improve. It put different fresh
and new ideas into the brain. After this, the next step is to prepare. At this step, it creates the
environment for creative thinking. It believes in avoiding the negative prompts by taking
positive actions. After this, the next step is to create. In this step, it identifies the creative
zone by using questioning, visualization, fantasizing, and imaging in order to create some
ideas in the mind. The last step is innovating. It states that after coming up with some
innovative idea, next comes to test the idea. At this stage, it develops the action plan for
turning the idea into reality. Other than various positive aspects, it also faces negative aspects
by adopting innovation. Sometimes, people also resist the change that are bringing out of
those innovations. There are times when employees or customers do not like the change.
Employees in the organization also many times do not understand the innovation that it wants
to bring in the organization (Snow, 2014). Creativity and innovation is regarded as the main
aspect for organization success. In 21st century, innovation has become significant in the
changing and complex business environment. Drucker (2014) also said that organizations
cannot success without taking innovative approach in the organization.
Leadership in Apple Inc. has helped the industry to bring the creativity and innovation among
employees of the organization. The supportive environment at Apple Inc. is able to inspire
the employees for bringing innovative ideas. It is true that innovation also involves the risks
but organization can get the continuous growth that will help in success of the organization. It
also has an organization culture for bringing the creative innovation. The culture of the
company focuses on bringing high level of innovation that involves the creativity. Innovation
and creativity are the main features of Apple organization culture (Amabile and Pratt, 2016).
The creativity cultural feature always pertains the new ideas that help in improving the
products and its business. The management of Apple also favours the creativity in its
employee’s skills, abilities, and knowledge. This feature of the Apple culture assists the
company in ensuring creativity especially among those employees who have given the
responsibility of product design and development. Thus, creativity in the organization can be
observed in the features of iPhones, iPads and Macs (Serrat, 2017). herefore, culture of
organization helps in maintainting the company capability to satisfy its customer’s
preferences as well as expectation. Taking into consideration innovation, the organization
culture at Apple purely supports the innovation. Due to this, Apple is seen as the best
