INTRODUCTION
Business operations are defined as the most vital function within business which is
helpful in managing whole business operations in prominent manner. The major aim of business
operation is to intensify value of business and to enhance its sales and earn more profits as well.
This is associated with various activities existed within business and theses are interlinked with
each other (Zurich, Instruction and Documentation, 2018). These operations are executed by
internal team and for gaining success these are performed in appropriate manner. Business
operation for an organisation starts from converting raw material into finished goods and to
perform marketing activities. Besides this decision making activities are also part of business
operations and these are helpful for promoting goods and services so that final selling of product
or service can take place. This report is associated with understanding concepts of business
operations in the background of Cadbury which is a British multinational confectionery
organisation. This report includes business functioning within supply chain, location strategies,
quality control and role of manager in these business operations.

Cadbury is a British confectionery brand which is known as second largest confectionery
brand. The company was founded in the year of 1824 and headquartered in Birmingham, UK. As
the company is having high revenue ratio which is the major reason for their success. The
company is performing various business functions and the same are elaborated as under:
Production: Every business organisation is associated with selling of some product or
services in order to grab attention of potential customers and to earn high profits as well (Anand
and Gray, 2017). In this context Cadbury is producing consumption goods so that to understand
and satisfy needs and demands of their customers. Production decisions are not easy as this is the
primal aspect in which customers get inclined towards buying decisions. In order to understand
customer behaviour Cadbury is conducting market research so that to examine needs and
demands of their potential customers. Cadbury is wholly focused over undertaking new variants
in their products so that to align needs and demands of their customer with business offerings.
Supply chain: Under the decision of supply chain focus is rendered over getting higher
productivity. Such strategies are executed in which goals and aims of the organisation can be
