INTRODUCTION
Communication can be defined as the process of exchange the information through
words, actions, signs etc.. between two or more individuals. That skills are verbal, non- verbal
and written. The present study is based on the “Sport love” which is largest sport equipment
company in London. Study lays emphasis on principle and purpose of effective communication.
the characteristic of effective listeners and speakers during the meeting. The strength and
weakness of the human resources manager of Sport love.
LITERATURE REVIEW
1. Principles and purpose of human resources director would need in communication strategy:
Principles of communication:

product, quality, size, shape, payment mode, time and duration etc. According to Buck, (2014)

Clarity: Clarity in communication is the most important aspect. Hr director use simple and clear
words when they are doing oral communication on phone call. They must make use of simple
and easy terms so that it becomes easier for the third party to understand. It can also increase the

effectiveness in communication. Then they can avoid the jargon and keep to the point, through
that customers get a clear picture of product.
Concreteness: Sport love communicate their message in objective manner when they are doing
face to face communication with customer. They use specific facts and proper figure of the
product. As per the view of Burgoon, Guerrero and Floyd, (2016) being specific, definite and
vivid while communicating face to face or through emails or fax can lay a positive impact on the
mind of consumers, by being concrete firm can develop an ability to retain the consumers.

time of video call with the clients and other staff members. By being polite and specific while
interacting can increase the effectiveness in the communication. It can solve the various issues

communication becomes effective.
Conciseness: HR manager convey their message to customers very clearly at the time of SMS.
They use systematic statement of contribute for clear communication with customer. They point
out the message and eliminated the unnecessary words. They can ignore the difficult words in
SMS writing.
Consideration: Communicate with consideration(target group). HR of Sport love is sure about
information that give to client on text messages. They can text proper and simple language and
correct information. Because text message is very short and in that give proper and summarize
information.
Purpose of communication:
In the opinion of Mehrabian, (2017) Purpose of communication is to enhance the
consumer experience and to also build effective relationship with the employees and
subordinates. Through That they give proper and correct information to its customer in effective

2 Characteristic of effective listeners and effective speakers during the meeting:
Effective listener: there some characteristic are important for listener. That are as follow:
Attentive: In the opinion of Pearson, (2017) Good listeners are pay attention in key points as
well as in the meeting. Hr of sport love is require to alert and give proper attention in meeting.
They can avoid any kind of distraction. Attention is must important for the effective listener.
Through that they are able to get the clear message and correct details.
Concentration: A good listener give a chance to other speaker for express their thoughts, views
and ideas. They are require to learn from every speaker and evaluate the idea of speaker. Its is
important to focus on the content message so that it becomes easier for them to analyse and
understand what other person is trying to say. They make proper consideration at the time of
listening. It will be helpful for Hr director.
Empathy: Effective listener dose not ignore information they consider is unnecessary. They
have need to be summarized the speaker idea. Through, they are get correct information and get
the purpose of meeting. They have to avoid premature judgement of speakers message.
Effective speakers: there have some characteristic of effective speakers: that are mention as
follow:
Confidence: According to Raman and Sharma, (2015) an effective speaker must be confident
about their information they provide to their customers. Such as the director of Sport love require
to a more confident about information when they give speech in lecture. They should be clear for
their information. It is important for effective speaker. It is need to increase self confidence in the
speaking.
Passions: Speaker have a good quality of Passions. For an example: the Hr director of Sport love
not have passions when they explain something to client about the product, then they are not able
to give correct information. Such as they have need to a passions in their verbal communication.
Through that they able to give correct details to its customers. Lack of passions make
misunderstanding between the clients and Hr. so it is important to take passions.

Adaptability: It is the main characteristic of good speaker in their communication part. Such
as, Hr director of Sport love have a need to be adaptable and sympathetic about the changes
which they are going to implement in the organisation. There is they able to give effective
presentation and information in front of client. . Eye contact with the client give positive
impression and as well as the help of make confident.
Self-awareness: In the view of Varey, (2014) self-awareness is the best part to improve their
quality at the time of speak. There is require to Sport love to improve self. They can make a list
of the information and content they are use in their communication. That is effective way to
improve their qualities of communication. Awareness about the presentation, matter, notes,
knowledge of the topic etc.. are important to the effective speakers.
Effective listening and speaking are important to enhance the communication quality and
skills. That make attentive to sport love. Through that they are lead better decision making in the
organization. HR director of Sport love are able increase and improve their communication with
the client verbally, non-verbally and written. When the Hr director of Sport love follow the
above characteristic, then they increase their listening and specking.

Oral communication
when I do oral communication, I am very sure
and clear about my information. I always try to
give correct information to the client.
I distract more time from my point of view.
That will give negative impact on me.
I have that ability to listen properly and give
correct respond to the client.
I have weakness with communication when I
speak in front of large group of clients.
In oral communication I am able to convey my
views strongly.
It is the weakness of me, when I do face to face
meeting with the client, then I am not able to
do proper eye contact with the person.

There is passions is my weakness. I want finish
all the communication fast. But it is not
possible.
At the time of oral communication I
concentrate on my client and my point of view
that I delivered to them.

Written communication
When I write email for the client, then use
proper way of words and correct information.
Lack of flexibility, in written communication
have so much formalities to be maintain and
adjustments. I am not flexible for that.
In the written communication I try to write
correct information of the product to client.
That is way of effective written skill.
Lack of secrecy, it is difficult to me to do
because inherent nature.
I follow the proper format of the drafting the
text.
Meaningless to illiterate, in that
communication most of time I not read
message properly and do mistakes regarding
that.
That is the strength and weaknesses of me. In that I try to improve my written skills and
oral communication skill from my hard efforts.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS
The above discussed that the principle of effective communication is helpful for the Hr.
by giving clients to correct information regarding their queries. It makes easy for customer to
understand the product quality. Effective listening skills and speaking skills are extremely crucial
for the Human Resource team. Listening skills are necessary to delegate proper message from
the executives to the workforce. While, speaking skills deliver strong communication among the
customers.

CONCLUSION
From the above study it concluded that the communication is an important part of the
organization. Through that, give correct information to clients and customers. In that study, we
discussed on the principles of the effective communication with the effective communication
strategies. The principle was help to the Human resources director of the Sport love. The
characteristic are require to effective listeners and speakers for become a good Human resources
manager. Also discussed on the strength and weakness of the oral and written communication.
