The primary purpose of ISO-9000 standard is to help businesses to improve their quality
management system effectively. A quality management system can increase customer
experiences in various ways as well as attract potential clients to an organization (Clougherty and
Grajek, 2012). There are various ways to use ISO -9000 to attract potential clients to the
business:
 Show that the organization observes an international standard
Potential clients always look for a certified organization under the international
standard thus demonstrating that your business adheres to it, creates open doors
for potential customers to the organization.
 Promote your certification
Ensuring that the business community can see your accreditation to ISO-9000
standards goes a long way in attracting new customers. Ensure that your website
has the permitted logo to showcase your adherence to prospective customers
 Demonstrate product consistency and process control

who can serve the business (Seear, 2012). It is significant to establish a good relationship with
the business suppliers to gain from it. A leader in the organization is responsible for building a
good relationship with suppliers through the quality management system.
First, ensure that the suppliers understand how important the business is to them. This
creates trust with the suppliers, who work diligently to serve the business as well as negotiate
better deals with the organization. Secondly, update suppliers on the strategic changes by the
quality management system on time and other new changes regarding products. This will assist
them to adapt to the new changes easily and thus building a better relationship with them.
Thirdly, establish a purchase order system from the quality management system, which assists in
controlling as well as monitoring services and products from suppliers. This helps to control
internal finances in the business and ensure a smooth relation with the suppliers. Lastly, using a
payment policy to pay suppliers their bills on time builds trust in the organization. Suppliers are
