3. Draft communication strategy
a. Communication objectives
To increase the flow of information that can help to build a common understanding of
organizational values and team goals.
To manage employees efficiently and increase accountability for work performance.
b. Audiences
Senior management: This is one of the main target audiences of this communication
strategy. This audience includes senior managers that have close relations with
employees. They can communicate effectively the information and goals to
employees. Moreover, managers play an essential role to build strategic relationships
between an organization and employees (Mayfield et al. 2015). Hence, in this
communication strategy, senior management is an integral part of an audience.
Individual employees: They are another important audience of this communication
strategy. Inclusion of employees in this communication plan can help to mitigate the
current issues such as poor employee relations, low engagement of employees and
poor accountability for work performance.
c. Methods of communications
Open meeting/conference: Meeting with senior management or conference engaging
senior management and employees can be organized to discuss the change process
and other issues. As opined by Noe et al. (2017), this approach helps to increase
effectiveness of communication and engages both individuals and teams.
Email: Online media can be used in this communication strategy. Email is a cost-
effective and time-efficient method of communication that helps to engage target
audience (Cloutier et al. 2015). Different messages, policy, and goals of JKL industry
can be passed effectively in a written format.
d. Provisions to facilitate bottom-up consultation
Consultation of employee health and safety: health and work environment is an
essential fact about which the employees are concerned about. Hence, they can
indulge in bottom-up consultation regarding the safety aspect. Moreover, senior
management should provide feedback through different methods like email.
Consultation about job roles and performance expectations: this is an important
aspect that employees need to communicate with management. They can achieve a

clear idea about employers' expectations regarding performance. Management can
provide feedback regularly by identifying gaps and communicating organizational
goals.
4. Grievance procedure
This company needs to develop an online employee portal, where there will be a
section to lodge complaints. Employees must be allowed to access this portal.
Senior management team needs to give responsibility for checking this portal to the
HR managers.
After understanding the grievances of employees, HR managers will provide a report
to the senior management teams regarding grievances on a regular basis.
Senior management team will have the power to evaluating weight of each of the
grievances and they will categorize grievance based on priorities.
Internal investigations will be done and this company will take the initiative to solve
issues.
This approach may help to repair the relationship between the employees and the senior
management team. This grievance procedure may increase employee satisfaction level in JKL
industries. This grievance process will follow legal guidelines including the anti-
discrimination legislation and the Privacy act 1988.
Part B: Report to the team of senior management
Executive summary
In this report, different organizational needs, goals, and objectives are described. Moreover,
different requirements like legal and ethical are discussed in detail. Explanation of the draft
communication strategy is done that can develop effective work relationships.
Introduction
This report is about the proposed communications planning that has been developed based on
current needs of JKL industries. Justification of the proposed communication and
consultation plan is included in this report. The senior manager needs to study this report to
understand the significance of the proposed plan within JKL.
Discussion
a. Organizational needs
Under internal strategic needs, the company requires to achieve excellence in performance.
Moreover, the management of information and communication is another essential need,
which must be accomplished to bring in the change successfully. Among the goals of JKL,
development of potential in workforce is essential. This can help to provide proper service to
