INTRODUCTIONChange management is termed as one of the most systematic approach in order to dealwith transition or transformation of goals of organisation, process or technologies (Alvesson andSveningsson, 2015). The main aim of this change management is to implement the strategies forcontrolling and also helping people in such way that they can adapt those modifications easily. Inthe following report, the case study of Barnacle Bay Country House hotel has been taken intoconsideration. This is basically located in Scottish coast in rural setting and remained family runbusiness for over 70 years. Thus, in the following report, difficulties faced by the cited organisation in order toimplement change has been discussed. Further, change management theory has been explainedthat leads in motivating employees to adopt change. In addition to this, leadership style andbusiness strategy has been discussed that has to be adopted for further improvements by Barnaclehotel.Wholesale cultural change may be difficult to implement speedily at Barnacles.Culture change is that term which is used in public policy making that may emphasise theinfluence of cultural capital on individual and also on behaviour of the community (Anderson,2016). Further, it is also known as culture repositioning that basically means reconstruction.Thus, culture of a particular organisation has been embedded deeply in system and becomesmuch difficult to implement particular change. It becomes difficult because of culture oforganisation comprises of an interlocking set of goals, roles, processes, values, communications,practices, attitudes and assumptions. Thus, there are various reasons that cause difficulty toimplement change speedily at Barnacles. This has been discussed as per below context-Lack of Planning- Change in Barnacles is likely to fall apart or may cause number ofproblems instead of benefits if it is not taken into consideration step by step. The citedhotel therefore has to understand in deep manner exactly about what has to be changedand how it can be done so that it may give high level success and benefits. In addition tothis, timeline for particular modification also plays extremely important role. Therefore, itbecomes essential for them to plan for downtime or for difficulties that might occur inorder to complete the regular tasks while any kind of change occurs in organisation.1
