A tip is always to keep in mind the “who, why, how, where and when” in each answer.INTRODUCTIONSafeguarding is all about working with young people or children to take all reasonable measures in minimising the risk of harm to children’s welfare. There are many multi-agency approaches which needs to be address by NHS. The concept of safeguarding is broader than ‘child protection’ which also includes prevention. There are many guidelines which has been introduced for safeguarding and it also outline their aims. Some of them are; to ascertainthe needs of children, families with confident, implement a safeguarding agenda for children services and many more. In this report, I have explained policies, procedures in regard to safe working of children and young people while working in a Bradford District Care Trust with adult mental health people. Further, there is also discussion about signs or symptoms which are causing concern in context of safeguarding. Apart from this, rights of children, young people has been explained in detailed if abusing is taking place.

Learning Outcome 1- Understand the policies, procedures and practices for safe working with children and young people1.1I can explain the policies, procedures and practices for safe working with children and young peopleWhen I am working with adults, it is essential for me to ensure about safeguarding at place and each member should be properly trained on constantly basis. While applying policies and procedures there is a lot of advantage which can be gained by Bradford District Care Trust and ensure about that practices regarding safe working is carried out properly. These will also ensure that every employee is working according to rules and regulations whichare set by care homes. According to act of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adult Act 2006, it protects the right of vulnerable people who age is above 18. This act is replacing barrier of vulnerable people which are facing by them in care homes (Brown, 2011). Through this they can also get extra advantage in defend their rights. This act includes some of the following provision which has to comply by mentioned NHS.It defined the terms in which employers have regulate and control their activities which are also performing byemployees.Right of appeal to care standard tribunals.Series of new criminal offence which are enforce under this scheme.Care in adult placement are applying many policies through which they can give better treatment to them. It is also responsibility of mine to ensure that the policies which are followed by workers or staff have to maintain them all the times. If any accident has been occurred, then it is responsibility of staff to inform Local Authority Designated officer on prior basis. Along with this if any abusing is taking place at care home then protection to children should be givenproperly. The manager has to aligned some action against staff so that they can take appropriate actions whenever it is required. While performing any task, it is responsibility of staff to keep all policies and procedures in their mind so that they can work accordingly

Learning Outcome 2- Understand how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused or harmed2.1. I can describe the possible signs, symptoms, indicators and behaviours that may cause concern in the context of safeguardingThere are several signs and symptoms which shows that there are many concern of safeguarding and these are depend upon the types of abuse which are using by people. There are different types of abuse which has been explained by me i.e. physical, emotional, sexual and neglect along with their signs and symptoms. As a creative support staff, I think that it is important to understand symptoms and sign because sometime victim do not speak about his or her problem. This work can be done by talking to them or by reading their behaviour. Physical abuse – These include bruises to eyes, marks and burn, scarring from previous cuts or burn, broken bones, kicking, hitting any child. These all sings are being physically abused and causing concern to take correct steps in resolving the issues. When any children or adult get abuse from anyone in physical, then these are also impacting on their health. Neglect abuse - These involve over feeding, tired all the times, undernourished, wearing inappropriate cloths or not giving any proper medical care, uncleanliness and so on. These all signs and symptoms are showing that children or adult people need proper treatments. Emotional abuse – These are concerned with low self-esteem, suddenly change in behaviour which is showing rudeness, repeating negative actions again and again and many more. This can also give chance to child that not toexpress their views so their behaviour is changing accordingly (Coleman and May-Chahal, 2013). These are causing emotionally abuse which can also bring neurotic in nature of people. Sexual abuse – These are related with inappropriate level of sexual information, abusive behaviour towards other people, confidential disclosure where child can tell their story to staff or other that what is happening with them etc.
