Assessment 1
Regulatory and Legislative Framework
The main purpose of the assessment is to consider and analyze the business of BBQ Fun
which is engaged in manufacturing operations in a business environment. The management of
the company is trying to enhance the scale of operations of the business and thereby enhance the
revenue which is generated by the business. The business is considering to move into online
sales operations by introducing e-commerce strategy in the operational process of the business.
The company needs to consider the legal and regulatory framework before proceeding to
implement the e-commerce plan. The management needs to adhere to cybercrime provisions and
incorporate proper security measures for such a situation.
Policies and Procedure related to Operational Plan
The policies and procedures which are formulated by the top-level management needs to
be simple so that the employees can adhere to the same. The business model which is followed
by the business aims to ensure that quality of products is of highest quality and it is also to
ensure that the business provides the best quality of services to the customers (Annarelli &
Nonino, 2016). It is also the plan of the management to introduce a customer feedback system so
that the top-management can get an idea whether the customers are satisfied with the services
and products or not.
Role of Operation Plan
The management of BBQ Fun would be relying on the operational plan for the purpose of
successful implementation of e-commerce setting in the operational process of the business. The
operational plan would also be formulated in such a manner that the goals of the business are

pursued. The operational plan would be set by the business considering the time frame for the
new e-commerce project which is being considered by the business.
Formulating Operational Plan
The management of BBQ Fund has planned to develop a new operational plan for the
purpose of supporting the e-commerce strategy. The management would be considering the
resources which is required for the e-commerce strategy which includes both physical and
human resources. The management of BBQ Fun aims to provide the best assistance in
formulating an appropriate plan for development and also aims to take feedback from all the
department of BBQ Fun.
Resource Requirements
The new plan which is formulated by the business would be requiring both types of
resources such as physical and human resources so that proper network which can contribute to
the objectives of the business can be established. The human resources would be including
technicians for developing the software and also installing necessary programs for increasing the
sales of the business (Glendon & Clarke, 2015). The physical resource requirements of the
company will be comprising of system of computer, delivery trucks, forklifts, software
installation. These resources would be required by the business for maintaining efficiency in the
operational process of the business.
Human Resource Management
In order to implement the new e-commerce, the management of the company would
require skilled technicians and staff who can handle new system (Bratton & Gold, 2017). The
sales manager would personally look into the hiring process so that skilled employees are

recruited in the business. The human resource manager would also play a vital role in managing
the operational process of the business.
Physical Resource Requirements
The operational plan which is formulated by the management would be requiring
physical resources which includes assets such as delivery trucks, forklifts, system software.
These assets would help the management to appropriate support the e-commerce activities of the
business. The physical resources would provide direct assistance to the operational process of the
business. The delivery trucks would be operated by drivers who would look after the online sales
delivery process.

The key performance indicator are critical success factors which the management needs
to consider while implementing the e-commerce strategy. As per the guess of the management of
BBQ Fun, the main benefit which the business would be able to achieve is increase in the sales
of the business and also an enhancement in profitability of the business (Noe et al., 2017). The
business in order to boasts the profits of the business has decided to keep the costs of the
business low.
