Management plays a vital role in every single firm therefore it should be effective in
nature. With the help of this, desired targets can get hit in set time of period. Administration aid
in managing all the operations of the company (Lerner and Busch-Rossnagel, 2013). This project
is based on hospitality services and the enterprise which has been taken under this is Hotel 41.
This hotel is located in London and is famous in all over UK. Assignment is going to include
various management styles, leadership skills or characteristics, communication processes, own
managerial skills that will aid in developing in hotel.
TASK 1
P1. Comparing different management styles
There are ample number of management styles that can aid firm in hitting targets in much
more effective ways. Administrative people in hospitality sector it is essential for them to locate
all the areas so that benefits can be gained by hotel at competitive market. Management manages
all the actions and operations (Qian, 2013). They also formulate plans and strategies in order to
enhance profitability of Hotel 41. Some of styles are given beneath:.

Communication Skills: In hospitality sector it is must for leaders or any other supervisor
to have good communicative skills. By this, staff members will listen to them with interest and it
also aid in giving great speeches in seminars and meetings in order to motivate subordinates.
Honesty: This type of characteristic every person should have. If a leader is working and
hitting its targets with hard work and honesty it may be possible that he/she will start influencing
others by which they will start attaining goals and objectives of their own.
Creativity skills: It is vital for leaders of Hotel 41 to keep on making alterations in their

are also offering various services to consumers in order to better serve them. This hotel makes
alterations depending on the culture of the city, trends and taste of consumers.

Economic: Hotel 41 has got 2nd rank in all over Europe that means they are offering high
class services to consumers. Along with this, they also keep on making alterations among in their
prices of rooms in order to gain competitive advantages and profit as well.
Legislative: Governmental agencies keeps on making alterations in acts and laws of UK.
Therefore, it is mandatory for Hotel 41 to keep on adapting those changes in order to keep up the
interest of employees (Kukulska-Hulme, 2012).

management skills in order to improve goodwill of Hotel

targets in given time frame. Sometimes I have to be more
supportive as well in order to enhance their morale.

help of this, I can fill them with full of enthusiasm.

can resolve issues of clients and of employees as well in
short period of time.

me to know about them and this practice can

enhancing their productivity level can be stated
as threat to me.

I have to hit targets on a regular basis in Hotel 41 to sustain in it. Therefore, it is also
essential for me to locate all the tools and techniques through which I need to improve my skills
and knowledge. In modern era, every single firm likes to recruit talented people that can enhance
their skills and knowledge. Some of steps are given beneath:
Specific: At this phase, I need to set a goal or objective by looking at both weak and
strong points of mine. Looking at my weakness I get confuse. Therefore, I need to overcome this.
Measurable: Ample number of hypothesis that can be used by me so that evaluation can
be done of desired targets, goals or objectives.
Attainable: Under this, decisions can be made by me which is related to that if desired
goals is achievable in given time frame or not.
Relevant: Information can be gathered by me through various tools and techniques that
are related to my goal.
Time bounded: Being as a manager I cannot afford confusion as weaknesses at
workplace. Thus, I have to resolve this issue in short period of time. So that it won't put impact
on me for a longer period of time.

In Hotel 41, it is must for management to make an effective team in order to hit targets
for a longer period of time. Experienced and skilful candidates that have same set of mind can
form a squad. Administration can develop this type of team by evaluating every single
individual's productivity on a regular basis. By this, hitting targets will become really very easy
for Hotel 41. Dividing work among team mates is also important, as it has been analysed that an
individual's capability stays different from others therefore, it is essential to locate their abilities
and then assign them task accordingly (McAfee and et. al., 2012).
Morale boosting is also plays a vital role after formulating a team. With the help of this,
they become much more effective at workplace.

Management manages all the activities of a firm through which they can hit the targets.
Managers of Hotel 41 can use Tuckman theory of team building so that productivity and decision
making power of every single individual can be improvised (Importance of Tuckman ladder
model, 2017). Along with this, training can also be given to them from time to time so that their
skills and knowledge can get enhanced. In this context, some other things that can be done by
management are given beneath:
Strategic Planning: Making a systematic plan for team so that they achieve their goals
and objectives in much effective and efficient way.
Building a proper relation: Management can give responsibility to a team so that they

can be maintained.
