INTRODUCTION Operation management is an important criterion in company and this is something which helps company to have a better manufacturing of products and services in right context as well. In this competitive world it is required to provide the quality product and service to customers as they are very much rationale in nature and they need better goods for the amount they are paying. Although operation manager is that person who manages all the requirement of production department as all such scenarios is related to that only.Bringing quality with innovation and creativity can make them to attract lots of customer and they can attain their goals and objectives as well. The report is based on ROLEX which is a wrist watch company and founded by Alfred Davis and Hans Wildorf in year around 1905. Assignment will include roles and features of managers and leaders in different situation context and how operation management helps in attaining the goals and objectives of company in better manner as well. Apart from all such which factors affect the working of company. TASK 1 P1 Roles and features of leaders and managers. MANAGERS They are those who bring various policy and procedure in company so that effective work can be done and responsible for every working in organization as well. Managers are also has responsibility to divide the task according to their department and specific skills to complete the work on time. Managers do have various roles and features in organization when they perform their duty and some of those are as follows: ROLES Divide work:Managers are those who divide the work according to the department in organization so that they can perform in better manner as well. Dividing the work according specialty of people and employees then effective and time completion work can be there. Division of work also helps in proper working as well Act as pool:Managers in organization play role of pool in between the top level and lower level so that they can communicate with both the levels in better manner and such thing can result in proper working as well. Stope level produce policy and procedure and manager communicate such to lower level in effective manner so that whole company can work in better manner. FEATURE Commitment:Managers generally have commitment towards their working which makes them different from others and this make to perform their duty even in better manner then others. This is something which provides power to them to have their working in same direction and have commitment towards their working as well. 3
Direction:Managers has the responsibility to provide direction to department that in which manner they have to perform certain task and activity and even they provide direction to employees as well so that proper task completion can be there. LEADERS They are those who arepart ofmanagers and work under them and have roles and responsibility to bring out better working from the employees so that company can attain their goal and objective too. ROLES Communicate:Leaders are those who communicate with their employee on regular basis which make them to have an effective working so that they can complete their task on time as well. Communication in between leader and employee make workers to feel that someone is there who listen to them in right context. Feedback:Leaders take feedback from the employees on regular basis so that they can come to know how much work has been done and how much is left. This also help to have an right context working as well and such thing is that which also help to have an increase in productivity as well. FEATURE Innovative:Leaders are quite innovative in their ideas and find something better way to have a good work and even in time as well which can make them to increase the performance level of employees as well. Innovation in working also make ROLEX to bring something and new in their watches which can attract the large market towards their product as well. Committed:Leaders are too committed towards their working like manager and they guide their employee in such a way so that they get motivated to have a great working too. Commitment toward working work helps to have a great working as well. P2 Role and features of leader and manager in different situation context. Role and features of leaders and managers are such which is being played by company in better manner and thus it make business to have a better working too and with such thing organization can also earn higher profits as well. Leaders and managers are those who make firm to work in right direction and make employee motivated so that they can complete their working even in better manner as well. The different situation context in organization are slow to moderate situation, moderate situation and in last fast changing situation is there and in such leaders and managers have to perform their duty so that firm can attain higher productivity. Firm try hard to bring their company from moderate situation to fast changing situation as well. Fast changing situation:This is such situations in which preference and needs of customers do change with the time as well which make them to work hard and produce the product and services according to the needs and wants of customers as well. In such situation the market changes with the time and changes in high speed and although changes in technology is also affecting them in various ways and it is required to change the working condition according to time so that company can cope up with technology and demand of customer as well. Working with such situation company can earn higher profit; therefore they can also achieve their goals and objective in great manner as well. The time also changes the requirement of customers and even with this ROLEX has to perform according to that only. P3 Various approaches of leadership. The company has leaders and even they have various leadership styles in different situation in which the company gets stuck and they try hard to come out from such. At this particular time period the company also performs various thing to overcome from different scenario as well. The different situations are as follows: Situational leadership:The leaders have the various skills to come up from the various situation which make them to perform in better manner too. The organization sometimes get stuck in some situation in which the company fails to overcome such and in this scenario the organization with leaders bring various thing and motivate their employees in great manner so that they can come out from such only. In this leadership the leaders watch what type of situation it is and how company can overcome and then take action over such and they maximum time overcome such in great way as well. System leadership:In this the company works in better manner and thus they also work in a systematic manner so that they can work in right context and such type of leadership help company to 5

These approaches are discussed below: Six sigma:It involves taking decision with the consideration of risk that is associated with the business activities. Sigma signifies risk, hence decision making process carry out in accordance with risks involved in it. There are number of threats or risks available in dynamic business environment which has to be considering while making any decision. Lean production:It only works on the concept to minimize wastage of resources at significant level.it helps in obtaining high outcome level in reference to minimum input products. There can be condition when there is lot of wastes generated during production process, thus it has to be managed properly to reduce its impact. Every activity which is performed in organization system may involve generation of waste materials which has to be removed. There are number of opportunities and threats that are available which has to be examined in correct order to grab opportunities and handle threats so that they do not hamper the position and condition of business organization. P6 Impact of environment There are various things which affect the working of company in various ways, and is such situation the company make them stable even to perform in better manner as well. Environment is being divided into two parts like internal and external. External is such criteria which affect the working even though in great manner and company has to make various strategies and decision so that they can fight with such thing in market and can earn higher profit with achievement of goal and objective. Environment has to be taken under some criteria as well. External Environment Technology:In this the company does get affected with technology as because time is running very fast and with such technology is also getting faster and availability of technology is there which can make them to perform in even better manner too. It is required for the organization to take care of various things in company which does not harm the environment and can have a best working too. Political:Every countryhastheirpolitical factorswhich affect theworkingofdifferent companies and even the organization has to follow the rule and regulation in better way so that every work in firm can be done in legal form and smooth functioning can be seen in organization. Political factors affect the firms in great way which company has to undertake for better working as well. Economical:The UK is having their economy in lower side after having a Brexit and economy of country is not stable and thus they have to make their economy in stable condition and thus for this te are also supporting to the various companies so that country can make their economy in stable position and can bring effectiveness in position in manner of rank. This has affected the working of company in great way as well. CONCLUSION From the above report it can be state that, operation management is such which help organization to have better working and even they also help in reducing the wastage of resources as well. The ROLEX Company has worked hard to make they stable in market and even they also change their working condition according to requirement of customer and produce those goods and services according to needs and wants of customers too. 8
