INTRODUCTIONOperation management is is mainly concerned with the designing, controlling, structuringof the system that is used for the manufacture of commodity and services. It involvesadministration of the entire business activity so that the maximum profit can be earned.Operation management is the term which is widely used within the business for managing thepeople, data, technology so that the business operations can be carried in the most suitablemanner. The assignment is based on the chosen association that is Corus which is the part of Tatasteel company dealing in the manufacturing and producing of steel. This study covers differentrole and characteristic of manager and leaders along with the use of various theories andapproaches of leadership. Furthermore the report also helps in understanding various centralconceptualization to the concept of operation management and its importance in operationmanagement so that the objective of the enterprise can be achieved. At last the study also assessthe component of concern environment which effect the conclusion devising of the leader andthe functions of operational administration(Nakamura and et. al., 2015)..PART 11. Definition of both leaders and managers.Leaders: A leaders is refereed to as the person who foster the power to influence a groupof multitude or individual towards the achievement of the goals. Particularly a leader is a personwho drives people to work through proper motivation and guidances so that the goal of thebusiness can be achieve in the most effective manner. In addition to this leaders are the one whoare responsible within the business to guide and for getting the work executed as per the waywhich have been set by them so that more and more profit can be earned(Kato, 2012).A leaders is also considered to be as the person who is dominant and superior in his fieldand also has the capability to control and influence other so that the desired level of work can becarried out. A leader also focuses on the exercising of high degree of control and power on theemployees so that through this they can be driven towards to achievement of the goals.Manager: A manager is the individual who is accountable for the administration of thebusiness and its employees. Manager drive the employees and manages them inside thearrangement in order to accomplish the score of the establishment in collective manner.

A managers is refers to as the person who can control the department of the business, andcan guide the people to work for them in the most effective manner so that the business goal canbe achieved within a short duration of time. They also focuses on the methods of getting workdone through others.2. Similarities and differences between characteristics of both modern leader and manager Both manager as well as the leaders show a important and essential role within thebusiness as both of these concept are related to the management of the organisation with thesupport of the employees so that the operations within the business can be perform in the bestpossible manner.
