INTRODUCTION
The management and leadership are most important aspect of the organization which help to
run the business smoothly in the market preparing strategy by management and leader helps
the organization to achieve that objective by follow the strategy of the organization. This both
are inter related with each other in the business. If in organization the management or
leadership is not performing well then it will impact the business and they have to face
problems in the market and they unable to achieve their target of the organization (Podsakoff
and Podsakoff, 2019). It is important that they both have to do their work effectively and
efficiently in the business. The Mark and Spencer’s Plc has to face many problems in UK due
to bad management and lack of leadership skills so for that we prepare effectively
management and leadership for Mark and Spencer’s which help them to sustain in the market
for long-term. This report includes the brief discussion on role of leadership in the
management and required skills and abilities in leadership and management.

Roles of Leadership and Management in the Organization
Roles of leadership in the organization:
Leadership is the performance of leading people in an organization to complete the goals.
Leaders do this through influencing employee behaviour in a variety of behaviours. Leaders
set a clear vision for the organization, guide and motivate employees through work processes.
The Mark and Spencer’s has to make good leadership in organization which lead and
motivate the employee towards the work and responsibility. It helps Mark and Spencer’s to
develop their business in the market and able to manage the achieve the target of the
organization by effective manner in a particular time frame. There are different types of roles
which leadership have to perform in the organization (Pery, Doytch and Kluger, 2020).
Different levels Leadership: It is a significant feature for entirely stages of the management.
The top level, it is important to be involved in development of the organization and strategy
development. At the middle and lower levels, it is necessary to interpret and execute
strategies and plans set by top management. Leadership will be trained by directing and
advising subordinates when executing a plan. This same thing the Mark and Spencer’s have
to follow that in each level there is different leadership so that it becomes easy in the
organization because each level of leadership plays different role for the Mark and Spencer’s.
This become very effectively and easy to perform their assign task.
Representative of the organization: A leader, is a supervisor and it stated to be the advisor
of the work. He has to represent the importance at seminars, conferences, standard meetings,
etc. his function is to speak the determined of the work to the outside the public. He is
likewise advisor of the same own branch which he leads. The Mark and Spencer’s have to
conduct seminars and event so that they able to make a brand image name in the public and
the management of an organization have to tell everything to the public related to product
which they are launching and offering in the market for customer because customer want the
reason for use so you have to give reason for the use of the product then only the product
becomes successful in the market. (Rofuth and Piepenbring, 2019)
Personal goals with organizational goals: Leaders through leadership characteristics help
align/participate employee personal goals with corporate goals. He coordinates people's
