Management is the management in all business and human organization activity which is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives. Management operates through various functions, often classified as planning, organizing, leading / directing and controlling / monitoring. In this assignment I expect to discuss the management of the construction through the following topics, •Principles of processes of management •Leadership styles and motivation techniques •Main markets, activities and services in the construction industry •Roles of the different professions •Direct line, Lateral and functional organization structures by explaining the staff relationships, span of control, chain of command in relation to centralized and decentralized •Purpose of mission statement, Strategy, corporate planning, policy and objectives to the construction industry

Management in all business and human organization activity which is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives. Mary Parker Follett defined the management as “the art of getting things done through people”. She also described management as philosophy. Management operates through various functions, often classified as planning, organizing, leading / directing and controlling / monitoring. The three established definitions for management are, 1.Henry Fayol “To manage is to forecast and plan, to organize, to command, to coordinate and to control.” 2.Mary Parker Follet“Management is the art of getting things done through people.” 3.Peter Drucker “Management is a multi-purpose organ that manages business and manages managers and manages workers and work.” Planning Deciding what need to happen in the future (today, next week, next month, next year, over the next 5 years, etc.) and generating plans for action. •The purpose of planning Help management to clarify, focus and research their businesses’ or project’s development and prospect. Provides a considered and logical framework within the business can.

Therefore, planning is necessary for all projects. OrganizingMaking optimum use of the resources required to enable the successful carrying out of plans. •The importance of organizingFocus on facilitate the understanding of objectives. Creating relationships and will minimize offenses. Arrange the real positions and jobs. Define responsibilities of all level And the organization is the function of management which follows planning. This organization helps to identify the activities, division, etc. Finally, organize the way, all the data processing planned, because it is the most sought after resource for work to do, without any residue or barriers.

Therefore, there is a good organization of personnel, the company productivity not fall further. So that is the important of organizing. Staffing Job analysing recruitment, and hiring individuals for appropriate jobs. Leading / Directing Determining what need to be done in a situation and getting people to do it. Controlling / Monitoring Checking progress against plans, which may need modification based on feedback. ❖The principles of processes of management. Implicit in the preceding discussion are a number of fundamental principles that must be honoured in order to deliver business results to customers and to satisfy the needs of the organization’s other stakeholders. These principles underlie the methods of business operation and change. Understanding and living according to these principles will get managers and practitioners alike through some tough debates about managing processes. Without the principles, teams can easily get lost and distracted from the intent of the journey. There are 10 principles of process of management.
