TASK 2
P4 Small scale research by applying the qualitative and quantitative method
Research methodology is define as the process that involves the specific technique which
is used to gather the relevant information about the research study. The main agenda of research
methodology is to identify the answer of who, when, how, where etc. In this task some methods
are define that help to conduct effective research. Some of them are mention as follow:
Research philosophy
Positivism and Interpretivism are two types of research philosophy that are used by
researcher to collect the relevant data. In research of Nestle interpretivism is executed as it helps

information that help to conduct research in accurate manner.
Primary method of data collection
This method is defined which is executed first time by the researcher in making a report.
Primary information is useful for Nestle because it help to collect the actual perception of
employees which are engage in their activities (Kowalkowski, Kindström and Brehmer, 2011).
Secondary method of data collection
This information is collected by researcher through published journals, website,
newspaper etc. But information which is collected by this method is less reliable and due to
which effective results are not developed from the research.
Sampling methodology
Probability and non-probability are two type of sampling methods that help to collect
relevant data from respondents. In context of Nestle research probability method of sampling is
used as few respondents are required to complete the research. Sample size taken for this task is
15.
