TITLE
“How do multinational companies improve the recruitment, selection and training of their
employees to meet international requirements? A study on Nestle.
INTRODUCTION
Employee's recruitment, selection and training are essential procedure for an organisation
to meet international requirement. For this project, Nestle is given Swiss international
organisation which deals in food and drink. This business was established in year 1866 by Henri
Nestle at Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland. Main purpose of this report is to develop aim and objectives
of research in systematic manner (Aravamudhan and Krishnaveni, 2015). Project management
plan will also covered in this assignment which has various elements such as cost, time,
communication etc. Along with this, Gantt chart and Work-break down structure will also
included which will help me in identification of starting and completion time for effective
performance of project. Various approaches of data accumulation and data analysis will also
covered in this project.

Overview of the research:
Recruitment, selection and training of employees is important for an organisation to fulfil
international requirement easily. There are different theories of recruitment, selection and
training but Experiential learning is most essential theory. This theory is effective and personal
in nature, impacting both emotions and feelings as well as aid in improving skills and knowledge
of employees within an organisation (Bager and et. al., 2015). According to the scenario, Nestle
decide to improve training, selection and recruitment process of their employees by applying on-
the-job and Off-the-job training methods, usage of online platforms and through conducting
personal interviews. As, it will directly help an enterprise to develop their business operations at
global level.

Research aim:
Main aim of this research is “To analyse the importance of improving employee's
recruitment, selection and training to meet with international requirements. A study on Nestle.
Research objectives:
To develop basic understanding regarding the employee's recruitment, selection and
training process in global business environment
To analysis effective ways for improving recruitment, selection and training process for
employees of Nestle. To Analysis types of training used by Nestle to train their employees in order to fulfil
international requirements.
Research questions:
Are you have any knowledge about employee's recruitment, selection and training
process?
What are the effective ways for improving recruitment, selection and training process for
employees of Nestle? Which types of training used by Nestle for trained their employees to fulfil international
requirements?
Rational of project: Main rationale about choosing this topic is about the study of the
effectiveness of employee's recruitment, selection and training methods to meet out
international requirements effectively (Bisharat and et. al., 2016). This report is important in
personal as well as academic manner and help a researcher in improvement of its data analysis
and data interpretation skills.
Literature Review
Employee's recruitment, selection and training process in global environment
According to the Smriti Chand, 2018, recruitment introduces as the finding and hiring of
best-qualified candidates from within or outside of an organisation. Selection is the important
process of selecting the most knowledgeable candidates for the vacant position within an
organisation. Training refers as an useful program that is developed to enhance the knowledge,
technical skills, value and efficiency of employees to do any specific job in better manner within
global business environment.

Effective ways for improving recruitment, selection and training process for employees of
Nestle
According to the Arte Nathan, 2016, there are different ways for enhnacing recruitment,
selection and training of candidates. For this, Nestle must survey international business
environment, Align training with management’s operating goals, Keep innovating etc. All these
are consider most essential and effective ways for improving employee's competency with the
help of training, recruitment and selection process are named as simulation for off the job
training, online platforms like website for recruitment and personal interview for selection of
most suitable candidates.
Types of training used by Nestle
According to Surbhi S, 2017, there are mainly two types of training which is on-the-job
and off-the-job. Both are essential type of training method which is used by Nestle to trained
their employees. On -the-job training is an effective type of training which is given by an
organisation at the workplace during the actual job performance. On the other hand, off-the-job
another type of training which is provided outside of the company. For example: class room
training, coaching and mentoring etc. are identify beast example of off-the-job training. Both are
essential type of training which is used by company to train their workers. Coaching and
mentoring is a off-the-job training which will be used by Nestle as it will help them to meet with
international requirement easily.

Project management plan introduces as an effective activities and processes needed to
identify, combine, define and coordinate all subsidiary plans (Board, 2017). In order to complete
project management plan, different number of elements will be included which is cost, time,
quality, risk, scope etc. All these are consider most essential aspects for completing project
management plan. All these aspects are determined as under:

Cost: I need accurate amount of capital for doing each activities of
research such as development of aim and objective, creation
of literature review, selection of appropriate research

methods, collection and analysis of accurate data about the
study (Ciobanu and Androniceanu, 2018). For completing this
research, investigator require minimum £150.
Scope According to me, the scope of the methods which are used
like qualitative and quantitative in inclusion with primary and
secondary is understood from the point that it further help the
organisation to analyse the strength associated with the
accepted methods and its positive impact over organisation
(Gardner, Grantcharov and Dunkin, 2018).
Time In order to improve training, selection and recruitment
process, Nestle require minimum 2 months of time period. On
the other side, for completing each activities or tasks of
investigation and research, I require approximately 6 weeks.
Quality The quality is must to ascertain while selecting any of the
method related to recruitment, selection and training. In this
regard, needed to focus over the factors which are present in
international global environment and according to that final
methods are selected which help to attain qualitative end
results (Gilani and Jamshed, 2016). Apart from this, I has
followed qualitative and quantitative research for performing
each activities of research in systematic manner. As both type
of research are essential and support a researcher in analysis
of the facts which are accurate in nature and provide authentic
information which results in selection of the best methods.
Communication Along with this, I will also use different number of
communication media such as voice calls, video conferencing
etc. All these are essential medium for me to communicate
each information for their respondents about development of
aims and objectives etc. (Joshi and et. al., 2016).
Risk In selection of sample size, development of aims and

objectives are consider major risks which will impact on
researcher while performing each activities of investigation.
Resources The resources needed by me for completing this study is
primary and secondary resources (Lorincová, 2015). It
includes books, journals, magazines, questionnaire etc.

Work breakdown structure: It is a incremental as well as hierarchical decomposition on
the research project into different number of deliverables, phases and work packages. In addition,
it introduces as an useful model of the work which is performed in a research project designed in
a hierarchical structure. It is an essential and significant tool which supports to keep a detail or
an effective overview of the project. This tool is used by Nestle with purpose to divide all works
or tasks of project among different departments (Luger and et. al., 2016).

Gantt Chart: It refers as an useful graphical presentation tool which describes different
number of tasks performed against specific period. It is also identified as a visual presentation
where each activities or tasks broken down on a chart which makes it is more easy to understand
and interpret. It is most essential and effective tool in project because with the use of this
technique, a researcher is able to analysis starting and closing data for completion of each
activities in project (Nazir, Øvergård and Yang, 2015). In this chart, different number of
activities will be included which are determined in form of chart as under:
