reduce across organizational boundaries and delivering successful automotive projects to

matrix as minimising distraction along with unrelated disruptions during meeting and

the project scope, deadlines and budget. However, poor communication leads to worsen
the conditions and lack of communication is replicates as main reason of arising issues.
That is the reason communication is known as very important aspect of our project
management plan (Samiee, 2019). The stakeholders must be contacted when issue arise
with concern about interest in project as ignoring the bad news leads to arise problems in

which could not be entered into the particular project management plan of jaguar Land
Rover Ltd. Risk: This is known as very vital component of project management plan and takes
decision about approach along with plan for risk management in the project. In case, risk

ACTIVITY 2
P4 Conducting different research methods appropriate for attaining project aim and objectives
Research method is considered as systematic plan with conducting research as it is used
for gathering information and data with objective of making business decisions. It is referred as
summary of key concepts with context to scientific research along with attempt for erasing
mutual misconceptions. The selection of method of research is highly censorious for drawing
Document Page
conclusions and to make about phenomenon. This gives direct impact on cause and factors
influence the phenomenon and very vital for choosing method within limits the researcher could
perform. Thus, money, time, ethics, availability and feasibility for measuring the theme in
appropriate manner are major instances of issues constraining the research.
Research type: Research is most widely used tool for brushing up and raising stock of
knowledge about someone or thing. This research is highly relied on verbal narrative such as
written or spoken data and even it implies statistical or qualitative observations for reaching
conclusions (Dixit and Sotiriadis, 2015). It gives insights and understanding of setting problem
as this study highly complex phenomena which is not possible for elucidating with quantitative
research. The type of research could be classified in two types as qualitative and quantitative
research. The qualitative research is known as exploratory research and implied for getting
understanding of different underlying motivations, reasons and opinions. It offers insight into the
issue and even helps for developing hypothesis or ideas for potential qualitative research. On the
other hand, quantitative research refers to method which is been used for quantifying problem by
generating the numerical data which could be transformed into the usable statistics. This method
quantifies the attitudes, behaviour, opinion and the other variables resulting for generalize the
results from the larger population.
With reference to this study, scholar will be using both qualitative and the quantitative technique
for assessing both qualitative and the quantifiable elements associated relating to impact of
globalisation on the marketing strategies of automotive industry in context of the external
factors. Majorly, it is used for uncovering trends in opinions along with thought and to focus into
the problem. Apart from this, it is also implied for gaining in-depth understanding of experience,
human behaviour, motivation, intentions and attitudes with context to observations and
interpretation as well. Generally, this is known as form of research where high weight is
provided to view of participants and in this study as well.
Research philosophy and approaches: it is replicated as belief about the mode in which
data related to particular theme could be collected, used and analysed as well. The philosophy
helps in improving critical thinking skills as they are of majorly two types as interpretivism and
positivism research philosophy. Interpretive philosophy engages for interpreting elements of
study and this integrates human interest into a study. It is linked to philosophical position of
idealism and used for gathering diverse approaches which comprises the objectivist view that
Document Page
resides within world independently of consciousness. However, positivism philosophy is the
theory which states that the knowledge is been developed on the basis of the natural phenomenon
, relations and the properties. Positivism theory is applied based on the empiricism under which
the verified data are been received from senses.
As per this research, it is very significant for appreciating differences among people
(Christopher, 2016). Usually, this lays emphasis on meaning and employing various methods for
reflecting various aspects of problem. In this study, for analysing the impact of globalisation in
automotive industry there will be use of both the philosophy, interpretivism and positivism as
with use of interviews and observation of managers of Jaguar land Rover Ltd and also with
appropriate facts and the knowledge.
Apart from this, there are two types of research approach as inductive and deductive
approach. Moreover, our study is based on qualitative as well as quantitative research as in this
order, there will be application of inductive approach which initiates with theories and
observations proposed for end of procedure of research as outcome of its observations. Usually,
it involves search for pattern through observation and developments of explanation and theories
for pattern and via a series of hypothesis. Along with this approach, deductive approach will also
be used which provides for development of the hypothesis on the basis of an existing theory and
thereafter designing the research strategy for testing hypothesis. It also refers to reasoning from
specific to general. Thus, these approaches will initiate with particular topic of globalisation and
then developing the empirical generalisations and identifying preliminary relationship with
progresses through research.
Data collection: This is known as the systematic approach for measuring and gathering
information through varietal sources and for getting entire and accurate view of area of interests.
In the present scenario, data is analysed with use of both type of qualitative research because this
provides valuable data for application of designing a product which comprises about needs of
users, pattern of behaviour and use cases. Here data is collected with both primary and secondary
resources as in primary, questionnaire has been passed to the sales and marketing managers of
Jaguar Land Rover Ltd (Radwan, 2018). The questions are directly associated to marketing
function of organization and increment in improvement in sales and economic growth in
automotive sector.

Apart from this, the data will be collected with use of secondary research as well as it
comprises summary, collation and synthesising of existing research. It is contrasted with initially
research as it is already compiled and organized as this consists reports and studies through
government agencies, trade associations or other business within particular industry. It consists
of combination of both qualitative and quantitative data for purpose of attaining research
objective in efficient and effective manner.
Data analysis: This is considered as procedure to inspect, transform, modelling and
cleanse data with objective to discover useful information, informing the conclusions and to offer
support to decision making. Data could be analysed by using two major tools that the includes
SPSS and thematic analysis. SPSS refers to the software package that is been used for analysing
the statistical data and reflects its real use towards the field of the social sciences and its use has
been expanded into the other market. On the other side, thematic analysis is the technique where
various themes are been created relating to the globalisation which helps in developing
meaningful findings. In this study, the data would be analysed with use of thematic presentation
of every outcome or response of questionnaire. On the contrary, it will also be includes
application of SPSS software for representing tabular format of numericals of respondent's
responses.
Sampling: It is the practice that is been used in the statistical analysis within which the
pre-determined no. of the observations are been taken from the larger population. Specifically
there are two major techniques that could be used by an investigator for selecting a sample are
purposive and random sampling. Purposive sampling referred as the non-probabilistic tool within
which the sample is been chosen on the basis of the features of population and also an objective
of study. However, random sampling is the process under which the sample from the population
is selected based on the chance and all each and every element has been given an equal chance of
getting chosen as the sample.
In accordance with this report, an investigator will be using purposive sampling as it
allows the scholar in describing major impact that their findings have resulted on population. It is
the most popular method that will help the researcher in conducting the study in a cost effective
manner in comparison to the other sampling tool.

P5 Data analysis from using appropriate tools and techniques

collected through both primary and secondary resources. The data so gathered is analysed to
reach an effective outcome over the topic of investigation. For the present plan both qualitative
