INTRODUCTION
Digitalisation is the set of process in which leverage all these for improving business
operations. It play an important role in every organisation for running smoothly and efficiently. It
is an essentials for small and micro firm in achieving growth and competitive advantages.
Digitalisation is the procedures to convert information into digital one from physical formate. It
is also known as digital transformations (Cavusgil, 2014). This process is related with advance
technology, computer or software applications, internet and many more that support in attaining
goals or objectives. This report is based on Taj stores which one of the oldest international
grocery shop in the UK. It deals in providing various products and fresh foods to the customers.
They can develop and expand business at other places by adopting best advance technologies
which have major impact on small firms. This report will define about organisational aims or
objectives and producing project management plan as well as work breakdown structure for it
completion. It carry out mini-research and analyse data by using techniques. Recommendations
and reflection also will be given.

P1 Aims and objectives of research project
In the current scenario, digitalisation has wide scope for business development because it
is an effective to manage entire operations and focus on achieving predetermined goals or
objectives. This technology is adopting by every firm to get succeed. The advantage of
digitalisation is that it helps in reducing workloads as well as time consumptions in an effective
manner. There are many small and micro business who take support of digital technology for
developing business and create good positions in the market. In this consider the uses of smart
phones or technologies, web browser, networking, internet banking, system software, computer
applications and advanced devices etc. for making work every work easy and effective for
individuals (Dezdar, 2011). These are very helpful in reducing stresses and work pressures of
employees while performing tasks within an organisation. Digitalisation is very supportive tool
that helps in minimising costs and utilise entire resources for achieving goals or objectives.
Advanced or digital technologies are using by various firms because these are fasts as well as
forwards which support to reduce time consumptions and minimise wastages so that company
can accomplish its set goals or objectives in an appropriate way. Every small and micro firms

focus on these tools or technologies for business growth as well as achieve sustainability within
the firm. This is an essentials to increase productivity and profitability of the company. Taj store,
which is a grocery mercantile also trying to adapt the best strategies for creating effective brand
image among competitors (Ainin, 2011). They can make their work easy by storing, recording,
maintain online orders and delivering goods and services to the customers at local and regional
areas. The main objectives of this project is to understand the digital impacts on the small and
micro firms. There are some components included in this such as;
Project Title:- “The impact of digital technology supporting small business growth and
innovation”. This case study is based on Taj stores.
Aims and Objectives:- “The major aim of this project is to consider various digital technologies
and their adoptions for achieving potential growth and sustainability in the competitive
environment.”
Small firms can make decisions regarding adopting suitable or favourable strategies for
effective digitalisation. Its main purpose is to bring new innovative ideas and creations to
produce better products and services in an appropriate manner. It also support in improving
communication procedures so that important informations can be provided to the targeted
audiences (Eid, 2013). Taj Stores are required to undertakes all these strategies and build better
organisation among competitors. This report will support in analysing the major impacts and
importance of digitalisation in achieving competitive advantages and attains growth and bring
innovations within the firm.
Taj Stores must be needed to use several techniques for maintaining records, financing,
internet banking, online payments system and transactions, storing or managing inventories,
delivering goods or items to local people so that customers can be satisfied. They also can reach
at targeted audiences in an appropriate manner. The objectives can be understood by following
these such as;
To determine the major impacts of digitalisation on the small and micro firms and
their contributions for society development.
To analyse the specific requirements for modifications or alterations in modern
technologies and identify benefits of digital technology for creations and
innovations in Taj stores.

compulsory for running an organisation. Therefore, company requires to manage and allocate
available funds among several functions or activities in an appropriate manner so that costs can
be controlled. Taj store has to focused on cutting maximum costs or expenses and utilise it in
effective to achieve goals or objectives (Kruschwitz, 2014). They can make better plan for
formulating budget which is necessary to manage the organisation. The main purpose of this
strategy is to cut the costs and minimise overhead charges to increase the profits in the store.
Therefore, they focus on allocating funds in operations and get maximum outcomes with limited
resources.
Scope: The scope can be wide of the project as in this required proper understanding of
aims or objectives so that they can be accomplished. These are helpful components for
formulating plans and make policies according to organisation and its requirements in better
ways. Taj store can undertakes the proper plan for providing quality of products and services to

technologies. It will support in improving stores performances and attracts number of customers

this report, I found that Taj store which is a small firm can adopt better strategies regarding
technologies and advancements. It is necessary for surviving in the competitive environment
because there are number of competitors who also focus on new innovation and creations.
Therefore, Taj store also consider digitalisation for developing managing retail store at large
level and capture London market by providing effective goods or services.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that Digital technologies must be adopted
by every firms, especially in the small and medium enterprises as they can bring new innovative
ideas and creativity for producing and serving better goods and services in an effective manner.
This study is based on Taj store which is grocery retail firm and try to adopting new ideas,
