end of the research, a valid outcome or conclusion can be drawn which help clients of
“McKinsey & Company” to provides the answer to their clients about their topic. Before
preparing such plan, various aspects need to be considered on the basis of which research
activities can be properly executed. Explanation of such aspects are determined as under:
Cost: Execution of each research activity requires an amount to incur so as to complete
the allotted task on time with desired result. For this, the project manager need to ensure their
employees about having sufficient amount of funds so as to build confidence among them to
perform without facing any hurdles relating to shortage of funds. It can be arranged through
reserved funds or raising from investors or banks. 50000 pound has been estimated as total
expenses of conducting research. For example, to achieve competitive advantage, MNC need to
invest cost in adoption of advanced technologies in their business operations so as to facilitate
huge amount of customers with quality products and services. For example, 200000 pound has
estimated to spend on preparing marketing budget in order to promote their products and services
in other nations.
Scope: The present research is based on the identification of the impact of multinational
organisation on the business environment of hosted nations due to which the consultancy firm
has conducted research at global level for their clients. Therefore, the scope of research is much
wider.
Time: There are lots of competitive opportunities available in business environment
which need to be achieved by organisations with their effective plans and strategies. Therefore,
the project manager is held responsible to set time period for conducting research in order to
bring valid outcome to their clients so that they can took further actions and decisions regarding
their expansion. Allotting time period to employees to complete their task brings motivation
among them to focus on their work without engaging in any irrelevant activities. It has been
estimated 6 months as a time period to bring out valid conclusion after conducting an appropriate
research.
Quality: It is determined as crucial aspect which supports the progress of execution of
research activities in desired manner. The quality of project is very much based on the methods
used to conduct research activities. For example, selecting primary data brings more reliable and
accurate result related with the topic of research. While globalising the business, training and

learning programs shall be conducted for their staff to enhance their skills and knowledge so that
they can serve new customers in better way.
Communication: It is an essential aspect which plays an essential role in guiding and
motivating employees to perform in right and ethical way. For this, the project manager needed
to bring transparency in communication which facilitate workers to directly communicate with
their project manager while facing any issues or problems. While globalizing business, it must
required to create a better relations with the new customers through interacting with them on
using various platforms such as social media where lots of customers are active on daily basis.
Risk: Lack of time, shortage of funds, outdated technologies etc. are some risk related
factors which can interrupt the research activities. Therefore, it is the responsibility of project
manager to deal with such risk factors through preparing its staff with sufficient amount of
resources so that the execution of work will be continue without any interruptions. While
operating business in other nations, lots of competitors already exist in home nations which
brings lots of risk to the new companies due to which it becomes more difficult to achieve huge
sustainability.
Resources: It includes human capital, funds, techniques and tools etc. without which the
research activities cannot be executed properly within allotted time period. For this, the project
manager need to ensure about availability of abundant resources after determining the
requirements of resources so that their workers cannot faces any problems regarding shortage of
resources (Coker, 2014). While globalising business, funds is the main resources which need to
be invested in adoption of various marketing tools and techniques and hiring of new skilled
employees so as to achieve huge sustainability.
P3: Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frames and stages
Work breakdown structure: In context with project management, Work breakdown
structure is considered as the deliverable oriented break down of the project into the smaller
components. In this project, the WBS is a key project deliverable which organizes the team
working into the various manageable section. In the other words, it is the hierarchical
decomposition of an entire work scope to be carried out by the team aligned for the projects for
accomplishing the well-defined project objectives and create the deliverables. A work
breakdown structure consists of an elements such as products, data, manpower regulation,

detailed cost and control along with proper guidance for schedule development and control. In
context with this project. The work breakdown structure allows the estimating the cost of
materials, cost and value of the entire project etc. For effective completion of this project, a well-
designed WBS make it easy for assigned project activity to one and only one elements of the
WBS. Apart from this. WBS is also helpful in structuring the complete map from one project
level to another. This structure would provide the complete structure and body for completion of
the project into the smaller units or goals to be achieved along with cost saving and effective
time management with entire work plan during the project.
Gantt chart: It is considered as the graphical representation of the time table which is
useful in doing the complete planning and facilitating the completion of an entire projects. It is
the complete outline in which the arrangements are identified onto the horizontal lines that scope
of the completed work within the completed time period. This type of chart gives objectives to
an employee with the task to allot the activities into the fixed frame of time. In context with this
project, this Gantt chart will show the researcher about that how much and time required to
complete this above research project out of the given phase of time. This chart will show gap
between the time & duration decided and how much span of time has been taken to complete the
research projects. Gantt chart will also considered the resources required and needful to complete
the defined project in decided period of time (Fisher, 2011).

P6 Recommendations that arises from doing this research proposals and data analysis.
By doing the above research it has been discovered that various tools has been considered
that will help the company to conduct their business in a way that they can go global. Through
analysing the views and opinions of respondents of different areas, it has been identified that
MNC makes huge impact on the business environment in other operated nations It is discovered
that the cost of operating their business in the global sense is considered to be heavy and the time
that it will take is less. Management of M&S has to develop new products according to the
demand of the new customers and the trends that are followed by that country. The management
should work on innovating new products as there are already different rivals that are operating to
give them a tough competition. They have to keep them updated about the political and the legal
scenario that is followed in the country while establishing their operations (Pekuri,2014). They
have to manage the resources that are available to them so that they can achieve their pre set
goals and objectives easily. Therefore, it has been recommended to small business owners to
reach their business at global level so as to achieve competitive advantage and huge profitability.

TASK 4
P7: Value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives
The present report discusses the overall impact of multinational companies on the
business environment of the host destination. a county, region, city. To analyse such impact, I
selected 40 respondents as a sample of population whose opinions are determined as view of
entrie population. It help me to draw a valid outcome which assist an organisation to make an
effective decisions and suitable plans so as to achieve its desired goals and objectives. In the
present research, I faced various issues related with lack of resources such as funds,
technologies, time etc. Due to having lack of time, I opt both primary as well as secondary
methods of data collection which is suitable for the topic of research. While gathering of primary
data, I faced difficulties while dealing with the people having different cultures and backgrounds
(Nicholas,2017). As they hesitate to give their opinions and views related with the topic of
research due to having their security issues. For this, I bring confidence among them while
communicating with them in an effective and efficient manner and ensure them to maintain their
privacy. Apart from this, I found problem in my communication while dealing with people of
different nations due to having no knowledge of multiple languages. Thus, I need to learnt many
languages by participating in learning and training sessions which help me a lot to conduct
further research.
CONCLUSION
It has been summarised from the above report that every organisations who are operating
its business in different nations are required to determine their impact on business environment
of particular nations. To identify such impact, research has been conducted in market in which
the views and opinions of different people are undertaken. At the end of research, it has been
identified that multinational companies makes huge impact on the business environment of
operated nations. It generates huge employment opportunities and payment of huge taxes due to
which it get maximum support by government of different nations to operate their business in
their nations.
