TOPIC:“How do Multinational Companies improve the Recruitment, Selection and Training of their Employees to meet International Requirements?” INTRODUCTION Globalisation refers to procedure which allow an individual, organization or country to conducttradepracticesatanotherlocation.Thiswillalsoprovideopportunitiestoan organization to conduct their business in international marketplace. For surviving business at international level or market, it is essential for organisation to improve recruitment, selection and training of employees in an effective and efficient manner. They can perform such activities through use of tools and techniques(Bailly and Léné, 2012). This research report is based on case study of Nestle company which was established in 1866 at Switzerland. This is the largest organisation in food processing sector. This report focus on improving recruitment, selection and training of employees for meeting international requirements. This investigation highlights aim and objectives along with project management plan considering scope, time, quality risk and others. Time scale, work break down and Gantt chart has prepared in this report along with researchmethodologywhichhasusedfor datacollectionthroughquestionnairethathas prepared.Fewrecommendationsarealsogivenagainsttheoutcomesobtainedfrom investigation. TASK 1 P1 Project aim and objectives Background of topic Topic of respective research is related to recruitment, selection and training which are majorly adopted by a company when they expand globally. Recruitment as well as selection refers to method through which company able to hire appropriate candidate for their company and it can be done through internal as well as external method. Along with this training refer to method or techniques which is adopted by company in order to expand skills and abilities of employees so that they conduct work properly. Background of company The research is conducted in order to know about ways through which respective organisation can improve it in better and effective manner. Nestle need to improve their business operations with use of capable and skilled manpower. If all working staff works together then
goal and objectives can be attained. Therefore, it is very important for Nestle to bring changes in their HR practices in an effective and efficient manner. Purpose Theincreaseinglobalisationleadsmultinationalcompaniesforimprovingtheir recruitment, selection and training practices for better results(Barsan, Surugiu and Dragomir, 2012). The main purpose of study is to improve recruitment, selection and training practices in meeting international requirements through human resources practices. Through conducting this research researcher able to collect data and information related to topic so that they develop strategies and plans properly. Research Aim “To analyse the ways of improving recruitment, selection and training practices in an organisation for meeting international requirements”- A study on Nestle Research Objectives To analyse importance of improvement in recruitment, selection and training practices. To determine different ways through which Nestle can implement changes in recruitment and selection process. To identify benefits of changes in recruitment, selection and training practices to meet international requirements. Research Questions What are the importance of improving recruitment, selection and training practices? What are the different ways through which Nestle can implement changes in recruitment and selection process? What are the benefits of changes in recruitment, selection and training practices to meet international requirements? P2 Project Management Plan The procedures, process and activities which need to define, unify, identify, combine and coordinate all subsidiary plan for result achievement(Drahokoupil, Myant and Domonkos, 2015). This is considered as document that is used in describing each and every phase of project. There are various components which are required in project management plan. It includes time, scope, cost, quality and others. Project management plan developed by researcher in order to attain their objective are given below:
Cost There are different costs incurred for activities that should be analysed for making better plan. In order to complete assigned project work, researcher requires£ 150for accomplishment their research on respective topic. Scope The scope of the respective research is that through this researcher of respective project able to collect appropriate data or information which help them in gaining proper outcome. This will help them in developing proper strategies as well as plans which leads to proper outcome. Time The researcher of respective research requires 6 months in order to gathering proper information on this topic. In this duration they can analyse the value of available sources in respect of given time duration. In this duration they able to collect appropriate data and information according to the topic and objective. Quality Project manager of respective research must maintain quality of research work by the using of proper tools, techniques and methods. For this, they need to analyse various source that assist them in collecting proper data for managing quality of research effectively. In this method, analytical practices take a place that determine reliability of data in respect of research. Moreover, they can maintain quality by collecting data and information from authenticated sources. Communication There should be two-way communication for sharing of data and information in proper manner. For effective communication, project manager of respective research will conduct meeting in which they convey about the research objective(French and Rees, 2016). On the contrary, they can also use feedback and social media platforms for collection of data and information in an effective and efficient manner. Risk There are various risks which can be faced by project manager of respective research. During this they faced various risks in terms of money, time period and bad response of participants for collecting data and information. These factors of risk will help researcher in
develop more effective plans and strategies which leads to attainment of goal as well as objectives in effective manner. Resources In order to analysing need of HR practices, researcher of respective project required different types of resources such as proper funding, advertisement, more time period, skilled manpower, recruitment and selection methods and others. Through these resources researcher able to collect information properly and attain outcome effectively. P3 Time framework Work Breakdown Structure It is defined as a type of structure which breaks the responsibilities or activities of project insmallersectionswhichbecomeseasytounderstand(Holtgrewe,2014).Itismainly represented in hierarchy like structure. The benefits of work break down structure it is easy to manage the project as well as helps in estimation of resources such as time, cost and staff.
