TOPIC: “How do Multinational Companies improve the Recruitment, Selection and
Training of their Employees to meet International Requirements?”
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
Globalisation refers to the integration of the markets towards which the businesses and
other organisations start operating on an international level. It refers to the integration and the
coordination among the individuals, companies and the government worldwide and leads to
integration of world wide economy. Moreover business organisation should improve their
recruitment. Selection and training programmes so attract prospective candidates towards the
business and assist towards working in effective manner. This research is based on on the case
study of Nestle company which is the large food and confectionery company established in 1866,
headquartered in Switzerland. This report will throw highlights on improving the recruitment,
selection and training of the employees to meet the global requirements. It will determine project
aims and objectives along with the project management plan. Gantt chart and Work Break down
structure has been prepared which shows the time taken by the project activities. In addition to
this data is collected through questionnaire method which helps in providing proper
recommendations and conclusion to the project.
Rationale of the research
As in the today's modern world multinational companies are expanding their market so as
to enhance their brand image and attains maximum profitability for the company. For this
company should improve and enhance their recruitment and selection process so as to attract and
retain the prospective candidates and properly globalise its business (ajda, 2015).. Rationale of
the research is to analyse how multinational companies can improve their recruitment, selection
and training programmes an how it could help the company to meet its international requirement
and maintains sustainability in the global market. Through conducting this research it will help
the investigator to analyse proper method of selection and importance of offering training to the
employees.

To gain the knowledge about recruitment, selection and training.
To evaluate significance of recruitment, selection and training process for meet
international standards.
To evaluate the ways by which organisation can improve their recruitment, selection and
training methods.
Research Questions
What you know about recruitment, selection and training program?
What is the most suitable way to improve the ways to give training, recruitment and
selection?
What are the major benefits to improve the recruitment, selection and training
programmes?
Limitations of the study:
The some limitation of the research study is to face some kind of risk in getting accurate
results that are very much necessary for a researcher to reach at their desirable goals and
objectives in better manner. In context of Nestle that it is very much potential to collect
necessary knowledge and information about recruitment, selection and training while going
global so that organisation can get effective results by achieving talented personnel in their
organisation. So it is very much essential for an organisation to conduct through research and
development before going global so that they can get desirable goals and objectives in proper
way.
Project scope:
The scope of the research is very much important for an organisation to conduct and
evaluate the results in better way so that organisation can easily evaluate each and every attribute
before going global in better manner. The scope of the project is to evaluate the requirement of
recruitment, selection and training in new way while going global to meet international standards

(Carayannis, 2015).. So it helps to various organisations and students to get accurate knowledge
and information about kinds of strategies and tactics while going global so that potential results
should be achieved in better way.
Literature review:
Recruitment
According to Martin, (2016) Recruitment is a chain of activities in which whole activities should
be conducted with motive of selecting and retaining one of most competent candidate as per the
demand of organisation. Further it is a process in which a candidate should be judged on various
grounds as per organisational requirement and designation on which one should be selected.
(What is recruitment, 2016).
According to Ruth Mathew, (2019) “ Recruitments is very much important process for an
organisation for selection one of most competent and potential candidate as per the market needs
and demands for gaining competitive advantage. That process of recruitment and selection start
from checking skills and capabilities of an individual on various grounds and till to give
education regarding working process and pattern that proved helpful for organisation as well as
individual.(Explanation of recruitment Process, 2019).
According to William B. Werther and Keith Devis, (2018) “ Nestle is one of the most leading
food providers to gain higher no. of potential candidates to get competitive advantages. In order
to Nestle always focus on giving employment to those people who always curious to learn new
things and attributes rather some bullets points on their resume. Nestle is a company which is
based on its principles instead of earning profits(Definition of recruitment, 2018).
Selection
According to Kannan, (2018) “selection is a chain of activities in which organisation planned to
select candidates who come for interview then by evaluating their skills and capabilities give
them offer letter”. Further it is the process by which organisation planned to recruit one of most
competent members as per the requirement of an organisation (Kannan,2018).
According to Decenzo & Robbins, (2016) “Selection is an standard activity in which rules
and regulations should be followed by an organisation to select and retain one of most competent
candidate to achieve best organisational goals and objectives in better way.(Definition-of-
recruitment-and-selection, 2016).
