INTRODUCTION
Management of business activities is a critical process that requires strategies and
processes which further assists in attaining the organisational objectives. In this process, all the
activities should be properly aligned with the aim and objectives of business (Parahoo and
Fleming, 2010). The present research study has been made on ABC Company which is facing
several difficulties in managing things. Along with that, problems are also observed in leadership
aspects. Hence, considering the same issues, the subsequent research work is developed.
Furthermore, discussion has also been made regarding organizational structure and cultural
aspects that support in proper management of business activities. Alongside, tools and techniques
of quality management is also discussed in the present research through which ABC Company
will be able to manage all its business practices. The process of risk management is also
discussed along with the health and safety legislation which business needs to apply in the
practices and functions.
TASK 1
1.1 Interrelationship between different processes and functions of ABC Company
All the departments of ABC Company are interrelated to each other and this association
aids business entity to meet the defined aim and objectives. All sections are entitled to follow
diverse practices so that organizational activities can be carried out effectively. The different
subdivisions of ABC Company are sales, marketing, finance and operation as well as functions
of all the areas have close connection with each other (North and Macal, 2007). For instance –
HR subdivision of ABC Company develops diverse strategies and techniques which are needed
to be followed by all the sections so that work can be managed accordingly. With the help of HR
department, ABC Company is also able to delegate duties among employees that enhances the
opportunities of meeting organizational defined objectives. Another example is finance branch
which makes the budget for company and according to that, all the activities are being performed
(Nadeem and et.al., 2013).
For instance - Financial unit has allocated budget for recruitment and selection. Hence,
according to that only, people are recruited in the business entity. This shows the relationship of
all departments and functions too (Mitra, 2012). Sales subdivision is directed with appropriate
target which needs to be followed to enhance the overall profitability and functions of

organization. When sales increases, financial capabilities of the organization also enhances and a
result it increases value of business entity. This leads the business entity to add more features in
the product categories; hence, customer base of ABC Company can also be underpinned at the
same level. Henceforth, it is clear that there is a direct interrelationship between existing
departments of the organization.
1.2 Methodology to map processes to ABC Company’s goals and objectives
Since, ABC is a recruitment company; therefore, the main process of business entity is to
employ skilled candidates. In order to meet the existing goals of company, proper alignment is
required among all the departments (McIvor, 2016). ABC Company itself needs to emphasize on
quality dimensions so that they can render prominent services to their business clients. In this
respect, suitable relationship is required to be developed among people for reaching towards the
aim and objectives. Recruitment process of organization should be managed in such a way so
that it can bring up skilled and potential people who can manage organizational activities in an
effective way. At the same time, it is also crucial for ABC Company to focus on ethical and legal
dimensions because that aids in managing all the business activities in a suitable manner. At the
time of recruiting candidates, it is essential for ABC Company to check all documentation for the
purpose of meeting all legal requirements.
This is also essential for the purpose of collecting information about qualified candidates
and employees (McCabe, 2014). Since, ABC Company suggests talented candidates to other
businesses; therefore, the entity has to ensure that proper relationships are being maintained.
Along with the same, ABC Company should also focus on quality prospects to meet all the
standards of company. It is also useful in retaining the clients for longer time span. Maintaining
quality aspects will also aid business organization to enhance the opportunities of growth and
success (Lu, Sadiq and Governatori, 2009). Similarly, competitive advantage can also be attained
through keeping quality dimensions. ABC Company has made a process map in which all the
activities are aligned with each other and hence, this assists the workforce to carry out all duties
in an effective way.
1.3 Evaluate the output of the process to build a quality gateway
Quality dimensions are essential to follow in business processes so that better services
can be delivered to the clients. The main process of ABC Company is to recruit efficient and

skilled talent. Hence, according to the business aim, ABC Company should look on recruiting
those candidates who have the ability to perform multiple tasks (Groocock, 2000). Quality
procedure like Total Quality Management and Six Sigma can be adopted for the purpose of
meeting all quality requirements. In order to enhance the competency of business, ABC
Company should develop prominent and long term relations with the clients. At the same time,
business also needs to develop suitable database so that each and every prospect can be recorded
in a suitable way. With the help of maintaining database, business can facilitate improvements
and modifications in the existing procedure. As a result, quality methods can be adopted to
enhance the possibilities of success and growth (Griffiths and Sheehan, 2011).
The processes of ABC Company should be based on authentic and reliable aspects so that
all business activities can be suitably conducted. ABC Company is required to advertise the
vacant position in an accurate manner so that client satisfaction can be enhanced. It is essential
for company to keep quality dimensions into account so that success and profitability facets can
be enhanced (Drummond and et., 2015). The procedure of Total Quality Management can be
adopted for the purpose of eradicating all sorts of defects and constraints in the work processes.
Moreover, this can also enhance success and profitability facets of business entity.

2.1 Design a plan to promote goals and objectives for own area of responsibility for ABC
Company
According to the case approach, it is crucial for ABC Company to focus on suitable
recruitment and selection procedure so that appropriate candidates can be selected for business
practices. New plans and procedure is required to be developed so that aim and objectives of the
business can be met. In order to promote the goals and objectives, it is crucial for ABC Company
to bring efficient, skilled and talented people in company’s processes. The business has been
facing issues related to poor management and leadership; therefore accordingly, all the activities
can be maintained (Davis, 2012). The environment of ABC Company needs to be changed so
that new practices and processes can be adopted for better functioning of the organization. As per
organizational issues, strategies should be developed as that will strengthen the overall capability
of the business entity.

Henceforth, in this respect ABC Company should focus more on prominent leadership so
that all the activities can be managed suitably. Strategies are also required to be developed for
appropriate management in which there should be suitable procedure for duty delegation.
Further, managers and leaders can also adopt new management styles not only for managing
people; but also for reaching towards the aim and objectives. Aligned activities also aids ABC
Company to deliver better services to the clients; therefore up to some extent, it reduces the
probabilities of errors and confusion (Castorena, Rivera and González, 2013). This is also useful
for encouraging the performance and productivity aspects of the business. Transformations are
also required to be made in leadership practices so that team goals and practices can be managed
effectively. Further, along with such strategies, ABC Company should also emphasize on
motivating and encouraging the employees so that possibilities of staff retention can be enhanced

2.2 Use SMART objectives, recommend ways of aligning people in other resources
ABC Company is required to emphasize on SMART objectives as through such criteria
people can aligned in such a manner through which they can meet the aim and objectives.
 In terms of specific objective, ABC Company needs to pay adequate attention towards
organisational issues and challenges (Botha and Solms, 2014). Having business
constraints hinders management practices and as a result, it affects other practices as
well. Therefore, in this response it is crucial for leaders and managers of ABC Company
to formulate diverse strategies.
 ABC Company is required to develop short term and medium objectives so that
operational issues could be resolved. On the basis of past records, ABC Company can
develop different strategies which can also aid in achieving all the achievements. With
the help of measurable objectives, company will be able to survive in long term market.

ABC Company should construct numerous strategies so that all the systems and
procedures can be carried out effectively. In order to maintain organizational objectives, ABC
Company should emphasize on quality standards as that will also aid the business to retain its
position in competitive business environment (Bajec and Krisper, 2005).
 There should be proper concern towards quality facets wherein all the requisite standards
should be adhered and for that, ABC Company can also apply strategic models. Proper
inspection and monitoring is required to be conducted so that the areas of improvements
and modifications can be identified. With the help of quality dimensions, ABC Company
will be able to retain its business position among competitors.
 All the activities of ABC Company should be managed according to the determined
budgets so that resources wastage probabilities can be minimized. Budget management
will also aid ABC Company to enhance the value of resource capability. Further,
employees will be able to conduct all the activities in suitable manner according to the

monitoring quality standards in order to measure business environment and enhance the
working ability. Through such way needs of clients can be fulfilled and vacant post could
be filled by hiring skilled workers (Garvin, 2012).
 Quality circles- It is another system through which quality standards within ABC
Company can be monitored and attain desired objectives. Through developing such
quality circles it assists in identifying the loopholes of every department as well as
improving their quality in regard to overcome issues faced by business i.e. ineffective
management and leadership which could be overcome effectively (Hadjimanolis and
Boustras, 2013).
3.2 Quality culture to ensure continuous monitoring
In order to make sure that continuous monitoring of business activities is done prolly it is

Following are the proposed changes for continuous improvement within ABC Company
such as-

framework because they did not find the company adopting the same.
