It is very important for company toimprove the recruitment, selection and training of employees to meet international requirementsand to create competitive advantage over its competitors in host country (MultinationalCorporation + Globalisation, 2015).In this present research paper, Marks and Spencer is being chosen as multinationalcorporation and the host country selected is India. With the systematic and proper use of researchmethods and techniques, scholar will evaluate recruitment, selection and training practicesundertaken by retail sector firms (Marks and Spencer) with regards to meeting internationalrequirements and getting competitive edge.BACKGROUNDThis present research study is based on the Marks and Spencer which is one of thefamous retail firm in United Kingdom. This study will focus on the recruitment, selection andtraining of employees to meet the international requirements as well as to gain competitivebenefits in the market of India (Mamic, 2017). The level of competition is very high in the retailsector of India as there are already 14 millions outlets operating so, skilled and knowledgeableworkforce is very essential for the company.
