INTRODUCTION
Digitalisation is beneficial tool or technique for developing small-business enterprises
because it support in improving product's quality in effective manner. It generally concerned
with new technology, ideas and innovation that are brought within an organisation. Every
company believes in adopting new technologies for developing their products and services so
that they can achieve particular goals and objectives (Zott and Amit, 2011). It is a process of
redesign the existing products for the purpose meeting customers desired expectations. This
report is based on EE (Everything Everywhere) Limited which is British mobile network
operator, internet service provider. It is divisions of BT Group and established in 2010 as 50:50
joint venture between Deutsche Telecom and France Telecom. This report will define the aims
and objectives of project and produce a effective management plan. It will also explain the work
breakdown structure for proper time frames. This will carry out a mini-research for meeting
projects aims or objectives. It will analyse the data through tools or techniques. Some
recommendation and reflection also provide in this assignment.
TASK 1
P1 Aims and objectives
In this present era, it can be analysed that digitalisation is playing major role in
developing small firms as it is growing fast or rapidly at the global level. It has positive impact
on enterprises so that they should focus on adopting new ideas or innovations for improving their
existing products and services. Digitalisation is beneficial for every firm as they can meet their
customers desired expectation level because it support in reaching at potential buyers and satisfy
their needs or wants in effective manner (Teece, 2010). This is useful in managing various things
such as accounts, marketing as well as communications process through computer software,
different applications, networking, internet and information technology within organisation.
Topic:- “Impact of digitalisation on development of small business enterprise. The case
study is based on EE Limited”.
Aim:- the major aim of above company is to create new ideas or innovative things
regarding products and services such as better mobile networking provider for the up coming
generations for the purpose of expanding digitalisation at global level. They are creating or

adopting more innovative ideas or technologies as their main motive is to identify the impact of
modern techniques in order to achieve growth for small business firms. In this case study, it will
elaborate the major effects of digital tools and techniques for developing the country as well as
society by raising their living standard (Stokes and Wilson, 2010). Therefore, EE Limited is
focusing on introducing advance technologies with the aim of developing entire community. It
directly affects on improving or increasing country's economy and achieve higher growth. There
are some main objectives of following project such as:
 To identify the major impact of using digital technology in EE Limited company for
enhancing the society.
 To analyse the needs or requirements of alterations in new technologies as well as
benefits of innovation and creation in EE Limited.
 To determine the advance tools or equipments for the purpose of renovation within
company in effective manner.
After analysing the aims and objectives of particular project, the second phase is to
conduct a research process for formulating questions so that they can get more informations
which is based on digitalisation that mention below:

 How modern technologies and innovation are useful in EE limited?

From above these questions, a learner can determine the actual information regarding

Planning is very important for each or every firm for achieving their goals or objectives
in efficient manner as it is indispensable for all organisation that may be small or large for
designing the over all business activities in an appropriate manner and they consider various
factors that play crucial role in achieving success and also consider some facts or figures that

must be relevant with company. Project management concern with proper plan that formulate
for running business effectively and it assist the entire corporations by providing corrective
directions for the purpose of managing and handling the business operations. There are various
roles and responsibilities defines in the management or designing the planning process so experts
and experience holders are required that helps in giving suggestions or advices for the
organisation development (Peppard, 2016). They have to consider several factors that ca
influence on overall process so it is requires to make appropriate strategies as well as favourable
decisions regarding the project management. Its main objective is to determine the risk factors
or many challenges that can create barriers as well as complexities in the project completions.
Some major factors are described that affects on managerial successful planning procedures such
as:
Cost: Money is generally defined as the backbone of successful organisation because sit
helps in running business operations and activities. It also support in managing or maintaining
the firm in appropriate manner. Therefore, every firm make budget for their future business and
it is compulsory to decide overall budget in order to run an organisation. Their main objective is
to cut costs as much as possible. Company utilise its funds by allocating the resources in various
activities for the purpose of getting more outcomes through minimum inputs so that they can
achieve their desired result or accomplish goals and objectives.
Scope: It is must be requires to understand the aims or objectives of particular firm
because it support in designing a proper plan and formulate effective policies according to
company's requirements. Therefore, this is main objective or motive of EE Limited to adopt best
strategies as well as digital technology for getting maximum attentions of huge numbers of
customers and also try in providing better products or services to the target audiences. Company
is focusing on bringing more innovative ideas and innovation according to modern world so that
they can get maximum benefits for the organisational development.
Time: Time management is an important factor for every firm because it is related with
environment as climate always change according to time so this factor affects on the business
operations and activities (Ward, 2016). EE limited should consider this element and adopt new
technology and innovation in their products or services for meeting customers demand or
expectations. They also consider the project durations as well as set time period for

accomplishing their goals and objectives in effective manner. It is an essential for designing the
business activities in appropriate manner so that they can achieve their project's aim with
minimum time.
Quality: This is the major component of project planning that to assure about quality of
products and services so it is must be required to sell effective goods to customers (Laudon,
2016). EE Limited offer best qualitative items or mobile networking services to their potential
buyers as managerial team are concentrating on company's strengths and maintain the standard
for attracting more customers towards organisation.
Communication: It is key component of every successful organisation as there must be
proper interaction among people so that they can work together without any hurdle and it also
support in removing conflicts. It will create positive environment and motivate to employees for
achieving particular task or objectives.
Risk: It is very difficult to formulate proper plan because risks or uncertainties can be
occur while running the organisation. It is depends on the various environmental factors such as
internal or external that generally affects to the business. Company's manager have to identify
that risk factor so that they make effective strategies for avoiding such kinds of forces and focus
on achieving goals and objectives of the project.
Resources: for every successful organisation, it is the duty or responsibility of manager
or leader to allocate all available resources among various activities so that it can be utilise in
effective manner and this will support in getting best outcomes or results. This element also
consider while making the planning or its process.
P3 Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
A work breakdown structure is concerned with classification of various tasks or activities
into small groups or units for the purpose of achieving particular goals and target in appropriate
manner (Laudon, 2016). Company allot the job or divide it among employees according to their
skills, knowledge and specialisation so that it can be easy to achieve their predetermined goals or
targets. It is very supportive and beneficial for the company because it distribute the roles or
responsibilities among staff members and provide instructions to them so that they can work
according to it. EE Limited is one of the best small firm who focus on adoptions of new

technologies or ideas as well as innovation in their products or services for the purpose of
achieving competitive advantages (Hotho and Champion, 2011). They follow this structure for
dividing the task according to employees abilities so that project can be complete in effective
manner. It support in minimising workloads on managers in order to reduce stress or pressures.
On the other side, Gantt Chart is another supportive bar that helps in illustrating a
schedule of project report in which mentions a beginning point as well as finishing timing as
well. It generally represent the necessary data or information that is very useful for making
effective decisions which accumulated by researcher. This Chart is very supportive in achieving
desired goals and objectives as it shows allotment of work or job, durations of project
completions and its activities. It also can be said as the blueprint of of official documents which
is must be required for analysing various activities that are going to be held in an organisation
and support in getting maximum returns from investments.

EE limited is small scale business enterprises that deals in mobile networking, services
providers and many more. The company's main objectives is to create new devices or innovative
products and services so that they can satisfy customers needs or wants and satisfy them in better
way. Therefore, firm has required to identifies people demands and get information by
conducting survey or research so that they can avoid maximum losses. There are some different
methods that can be used for gathering data such as:
Qualitative Research: This methods is generally based on symbol, name, number code
etc. it can be done using best or appropriate strategies that helps in get best results through
investigation and also support in understanding about customer's choices, behaviour and
perceptions in effective manner (Fitzgerald, 2014). Some techniques are interviews, survey,
observation for accomplishing projects goals and objectives.
Quantitative research: It is another important method that helps in gathering data in
numerical or statistical form which is beneficial for financial team as they use these data for
making budget and plan for financing of over all association.
Sampling: In this method accumulated data are gathered from large pool. They acquire
feedback from them for the purpose of designing and organising policies, plans according to
consumers choices as well as their preferences. It is very useful for the company as they selects

few candidates among various people for the purpose of getting information regarding their
behaviour, choices and perceptions towards company's goods and services. In such process,

P6 Recommendation
This project report is based on case study of EE limited which is small-business
enterprise. This company is start up as it established in 2010. company required to adopt new
technologies and digitalisation in their firm so it will support in improving products and services
quality and try to satisfy customer's needs or wants in effective manner. It is an essential for the
organisation to attracts numbers of customers towards company's products and services. They
focus on adopting new innovative ideas, creativity, unique creations and effective technology so
that they can produce more efficient products and meet customer's desired expectation. It will
support in increasing productivity level and generate more revenues for the firm. There are some
recommendation for the EE Limited for developing their business such as:
 Organisation requires to conduct training and development sessions as well as
provide some learnings to employees so that they could able to accept changes and
adopt new technology for production department. Learning will support in enhancing
workers skills, knowledge and abilities so that they can achieve organisational goals
or objectives.
 Company should focus on organising live sessions, conferences and seminar for
providing information to the employees that how to adopt or utilise digitalisation in
the firm for improving performance and develop quality of good and services in
effective manner.
 EE Limited can produce better products and provide networking or services to the
customers through innovative ideas and creations so that they can achieve their goals
and objectives.

P7 Reflection
Digitalisation or new technologies are very effective for every business organisation
weather it is small or large. From above report, I found that EE Limited which is small-business
enterprises or new start ups should focus on adopting new technologies so that they can develop
their business in competitive environment for achieving advantages. Digitalisation is very
supportive for small medium enterprises as it develop their performance level. I also found that
there should be organise proper training and development program for improving employees
performance and enhance their skills or abilities for achieving task or objectives. This will
support to them in proper utilising digital technology and understanding about digitalisation or
its uses in appropriate manner. It has proved that it is effective for EE limited therefore, I
recommend to them for bring new ideas and unique features in their existing products or services
that will support in building good brand image as well as strong goodwill in the market by
maintaining proper relations with customers.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that digitalisation play major role in
developing small-businesses or improve performances of the organisation. It has more impact on
small or micro firms. EE limited should focus on adopting new digital technologies or innovative
ideas for improving or developing products or services that is very supportive in increasing
productivity. This project report covered various areas for defining the digitalisation and also
discussed about some tools and techniques for improving the quality of services.
