INTRODUCTION
Marketing is consider as an activity or procedure that used by company to creating,
communicating and exchanging relation with customers by providing them value products. It is a
concept of meeting the needs of customers by analysing their requirements. Mainly, it is related
to the promotional tool by which firm promote or advertise their products and services in market
place for inviting large number of customers. This will increase overall profitability level and at
the same time also build positive brand image (Baker and Saren, 2016). One of the main
advantage of marketing is that it provide businesses along with a competitive edge that directly
support in gaining loyal customers. With the help of this, company improve their competitive
performance and also capture larger market share from its rivals. Present report is based on
H&M, is clothing retail company operate their business in various location. This company is
famous for its fast- fashion clothing for women, men and children. It is the second largest global
retailer company that has significant online presence. Report is going to discussed about roles
and responsibilities of marketing function and its interrelation with other department. Marketing
mix of company is also mentioned that support in promoting its products in market place. At last,
marketing plan help company in attaining growth at competitive place.

Marketing function is related to the role that support business organisation to effectively
determine company products in market place with the aim of attaining potential success. Along
with this, it also help in promoting company and its products in competitive market in order to
increase its profitability level. In competitive era, it is important for organization to manage their
brand image so that more and more consumers get attracted towards its offering. In this
marketing function play a crucial role in promoting as well as advertising organizational
activities within the market that support them in building positive and competitive image. In
context of organization, H&M operate their business in retail fashion industry wherein the focus
of company is to serve best quality products to customers for providing them better satisfaction.
This will increasing the chances of attaining competitive success at market place (Baker and
Magnini, 2016). As there are some importance roles and responsibilities of marketing function
within the H&M that support in executing all the marketing activities in well organised manner:
