Reflective evaluation involves paying a critical attention to the theories and practical values which informs everyday actions of an individual by the practices of an individual reflexively and reflectively (Brand and Antoniewicz, 2016). PART B Nature and purpose of reflective practice Reflective practice is a kind of ability in which an individual reflects on its own actions in order to engage in the process of continuous learning. Reflective practice is a modern term and is evolving. It leads to the developmental insights of an individual. It encourages the ability of an individual to reflect in action while doing something and acting on after doing something which is an important feature of professional reflective practice (Shum and et.al., 2016).Itis used for one’s own development. It is an adaptable process as it is a set of ideas which can be used along with many other concepts of learning, self-improvement, training and personal development. Reflective practice hasvarious purposes one purpose is to increase self-awareness which is a key component of an individual’s key emotionsand also helps to understand what others feel about us during an activity(Canniford and Fox-Young, 2015). It can also help an individual in developing a creative thinking skills and also to encourage active management in the process of work. Reflective cycle is mainly considered with self development and it enables future personal growth, how to think and feel about present and past situations. It is the valuable methodology for using insights and learn more from the past and to asses the present situation and how to improve present and future. 1
The main purpose of reflective writing is mainly is describing what I'm doing which is basically describing individual person and personality as well. Other than this the purpose will tell what do I need to know which is termed to as contextual. This will also be including the planning or development phrase which means that how can I could take my learning further for development of it. Thus the reflection will help learner to identify all important things and points in relation to task which is performed by them. Gibbs Reflective Cycle: Gibbs reflective cycle is a model which encourages people to think systematically about the experiences that they had during any specific situations or during an event or activity (Gibbs Reflective Cycle by Graham Gibbs,2019). With the help of this model an individual’s reflection of one's own experience can be structured into different phases (Husebø, O'Regan and Nestel, 2015). This will help an individual to think about the particular experience, event or an activity in more detail. By applying Gibbs model will help an individual to become aware of their own actions and also will able to adjust ones own behaviour and changes in a better way by looking positive and negative impacts of the event. 2
