INTRODUCTION
Project management is activity of initiating, preparation, controlling and closing work of
group to accomplish particular objectives and meet special success criteria at the particular time.
The main challenge of project management is to accomplish all objectives of project within t he
given restrictions (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017). On other side, operation management is
arrangement of activities of business to make the largest level of ratio manageable with
company. Study is based on Bown Manufacturing organization. It is preparing variety of
patented mechanical parts. Report will review and critique of implementation of principles of
operation management in firm. It will make continuous improvement plan based on operation
management principles with company.

Introduction to selected company
Bown Manufacturing organization was set up in 1862 Birmingham by localized
machinist, William Bown which creating range of patented mechanical parts. The Greek deity
had been utilized as trademark since 1877 and specially for cycle parts. Company has
manufactured many products such as Aeolus ball bearings, cycle parts, Bicycles and
Motorcycles. The estimate number of employees 2330 working in the Bown Manufacturing
Company.
Selected organization factory-made range of articles such as parts for sewing machines,
horse clippers, roller sports equipment and wheels. William Bown was great investigator with
discriminating eye for marketable thoughts (Meredith, Mantel Jr and Shafer, 2017). He is called
to have registered over 14 patents. He is owned patent for popular Aeolus ball bearing between
other goods. Organization was capable to earn substantial royalties in order to sales group from
their factory-made goods.

Bown Manufacturing company uses this method for the betterment of the organization, Six
sigma strategies seek to improve the quality of the output of a process by identifying and
removing the causes of defect and helps in minimizing variability in manufacturing and business
process of Bown Manufacturing company. One key innovation of six sigmas involves the
absolute “professionalizing” of quality management functions by Bown Manufacturing
company. Continuous efforts to achieve stable and predictable process results are of vital
