Introduction
This assignment depicts the information related at the workplace that assists the organisations to
investigate into the matters as per the legal requirements of the organization. It also includes the
expectations of the organisation by depicting the missions and goals of the organization. In this
assignment task 1 includes incidents investigation related to the work, health and safety. The task
2 consist the organisational goals, values and the decisions of the strategy. It also explains the
organisational objectives, standards and the relevant legislation and the manager’s
responsibilities and also includes the agent at the workplace.

Scenario 1
As an operational manager of the Max Lionel Reality and it is a responsibility to perform the day
to day operations for the successful running of the business. In this context, it is important to
look after the functions that occur within the different company branches which include
residential, commercial and the branches of the investment. Oversee the projects the affects the
working operations of the organizations. As a manager, it is important to coordinate the systems
and also achieve cooperation in the whole company and the various departments.
Incident investigation
Last Wednesday the company faces the incident related to the work, health, and safety in the
working premises of the company. The details of the incidents include an office client was
getting late so decided to leave through the emergency gate and due to this she falls and her wrist
is broken and the exit door was blocked by the paper. In this context, one of the agents came to
help of the client and the agent criticizes the client’s heels and said to consider the lift instead of
stairs. With this, the client gets humiliated and taken to the hospital. In this context, the client
threatens the company for the injuries and the mental trauma caused to her (Schaltegger, et. al.,
2017). Further, one of the agent notice that some oily substance at the staircase and reporting
about this immediately to the Commercial; reality manager. This incident comes to the notice of
the HR manager who contacts both the lawyer of the client and the Ombudsman human rights
office. In this context, it is important that the manager must undertake the responsibilities of the
WHS management. Now the company sets out its target to reduce the incidents of the WHS by
25%.
As per the incident of the WHS which was held at the Commercial office of the Max Lionel
Realty (Cascio, 2015). It is the responsibility of the Commercial manager to conduct the
investigation of the WHS incident but no step is taken in this regard. So, in this context, the
investigation is conducted in regard to the WHS incident.

Perform Risk Assessment
It is important to identify the risk and take appropriate measures to control the risk at the place of
occupation. It is the essential step for management of the health and safety and its main purpose
is to identify the hazards and it is a statutory duty (Gostin & Wiley, 2016). It also assists in
reducing the level of accidents at the workplace. It is important that Max Lionel Realty perform
the assessment of the risk which includes several steps:
Step 1- Identify the hazards
This is the first step includes the identification of the hazards and consult with the employees for
taking the safety issues (Papp, 2018). It is important that the company informed about the
equipment and take past experiences related to the risk and implement the effective plans to
reduce such incidents. As per the given scenario, the company identifies the hazards which cause
the client to slip from the staircase which causes severe injury to her wrist.
Step-2- Make a decision who might be wounded
In this step, it includes that after the identification of the hazards that how the people be harmed.
It is also important to access by the organization to evaluate the harm that severely effects and
how the harm caused to the human being. In this, the client of the company is injured due to
some oily substance eat the staircase. It is important that the Max Lionel Reality make a decision
about the harm that causes injury caused due to the negligence of the staff or causes any mental
trauma to the employees or any clients.
Step-3- Evaluate the risks and take control measures
In this step, the company identifies the other related risk and also protects the people to protect
from this harm (Noe, et. al., 2017). The control measures that is adopted by the company is
administrative procedures and the use of the personal protective equipment and also ensures that

the procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently. After identifying the risk the
company takes important steps so that no further injuries cause to the staff or any clients.
Step-4- Documentation of the necessary findings
In this step, it is important that the company make proper documentation of the records that
related to the risk and make the effective plan to eliminate the hazards related risk that hampers
the health and security of the staff at the pace of occupation (Sadgrove, 2016). After finding all
the hazards in the organizations it is vital that the company documenting all the hazards that
happened or to happen in the organization like the client of the company cause severe injury in
the wrist due to some oily substance at the floor.
Step-5- Review, monitor and update the assessment
In this step, the company reviews the assessment every three years and takes necessary action in
this regard. It is important to manage the process of the risk and take effective decisions in this
regard. It is the duty of the management to take necessary action in this regard and monitor and
update the necessary documents in this regard so that no such injuries or any damage caused to
the employment staff.
