INTRODUCTION
Organisationalbehaviour refers to how an employee behaves with persons who are working
in the company and it is important to make plans or strategies accordingly so that employees can
work properly. It will help in maintaining safe and healthy working environment, employees will
be motivated if they are getting good working premises and it helps in boosting their confidence
(Balwant, 2018). Organisationalbehaviour helps in making plans for future growth of company
and it will also help in providing good environment to employees so that they can work
effectively. It refers to how employees are behaving with each other in the organisation and how
they are doing their work.
Unilever is providing consumer goods, founded in 1929 and its headquarters are situated in,
London, England. It is one of the well knownorganisation as it is providing good quality
products to consumers and satisfy needs of people. in the organisation they are following
divisional structure in which roles and responsibilities are divided among employees on the basis
of their specialisation. In this structure goals and objectives are clearly defined and it will help in
maintaining good environment in company and reduce chances of conflicts or misunderstanding
among workers. Firstly, they were applying autocratic leadership but now they have changed and
using democratic leadership style because it is best and employees are also motivated (Jacobs
and Manzi, 2020.). In this employees are having right to speak and they can share their views,
decision can be taken by workers on their own without consulting leaders but it should be for the
benefit of organisation. after applying this leadership style company is earning more profit
because sometimes, employees are having better knowledge about choice and preference of
consumers.
Organisational Theory
It is important to apply organisational theory because it helps in achieving goals and
objectives of company. Managers make plans or strategies according to working of employees
and their performance is being measured. In Unilever company group behaviour theory is being
applied. In this theory work is given in groups to employees so that managers can identify that
how individual worker is performing and it is important to build good relationship with all
employees working in the company. It will help in completing the work on time and when work
is divided among members then all will work efficiently (James, 2017). It is a way to determine
that which employee can work effectively in a team and employees who need training to
